We love our stacked front-load washer and dryer, but I hated trying to unload the dryer. I had no where to put my laundry basket! I just gave out small laundry room a MASSIVE MODERN makeover, and made sure to build a pull-out laundry basket shelf, which doubles as a drying rack. It's an easy project, the average weekend warrior could tackle in one weekend.

Dewalt, Milwaukee, Ruobi, and probably Bosh Have right angle attachments too and only need about an inch worth of clearance... I like the one on your boss drill because it looks like it's easier to put your body weight behind but it also takes up almost as much space as a drill.

German manufacturers such as Bosch and Miele have been doing this for long time already, it is included in their original stacking kit. It is a flat desk so you can also fold your clothes on it.

Awesome idea! Ours is on the pedestal drawer on the floor, so not that high, but having one under both washer and dryer when they're next to each other would be a great idea too, as it always annoys me going from washer to dryer and dropping wet clothes on the floor on the way over lol

So great to see a woman for a change doing real DIY stuff. Great job, sister! This is very inventive and a helpful concept. You can sell this idea to the laundry manufacturers or create a marketable add on. fyi - I find music highly irritating in a demo or DIY where my brain needs to focus. Its added noise and hurts the ears.

I was interested in this plan because I can’t stack my newer and older models. I should be able to still put dryer on the shelf right? I don’t see how you could use a bracket anyway with the space you’ve created between the two units.

This is a great DIY solution, but an easier way to do it (with a bit more expense) is with special weight-bearing drawer runners. The ones I plan to use are rated for 45kg which should be plenty for a basket full of wet laundry.

Great idea but your reasoning behind it as you needed a way to hold your basket up while you unloaded the dryer couldn’t you just set the basket on the floor and your clothes are gonna fall into the basket right it’s not like they’re gonna jump out of the dryer at you and across the room so I mean it’s a great idea for a rack for even like a little ironing table situation or to hang towels on if you are like at a beach house, we have swim wear all the time, but for to hold a basket up, will you unload the dryer? That’s free everyone just set it on the groundand don’t fling them out of the dryer you’ll be all right experience necessary none money spent zero dollars US

Require a couple thousand dollars for table saws, rip saws, drills, wood, veneers, etc…why not buy a wooden folding table for $29.00 at Walmart and place the basket on that when unloading the dryer. Then fold the table closed and store next to the washer dryer units

Love the idea and work but cringing that you're running an angle grinder with no guard. I'm glad your feet are safe with your sponsor's boots but didn't see any PPE so if the cut off disc goes flying, it doesn't severely injure you.
