No need it's in title "roding fiber concrete " has small fiber that hold it together we use it alot on budings its light alternative to rebar or metal mesh and pain to break out if your taking out

I wouldn’t worry about passing codes that’s easy, bit pouring on dirt and not tamped is setting up for a fail, fibers intentions are good but rebar is for sure.

I agree. Everybody keeps saying they need rebar but you need wire not rebar.

We had jobs donde like this 4 years ago. They don’t look different from the ones with rebar or wire. Im not saying its the best I know rebar its best but people trash this driveways like they breakdown the next day. Well its not true and had alot to do with region Here in South no freezing conditions at all Im glad you have alot work but you are not replacing mines buddy. Have a good one

@@innovativeconcretesolution3522 correct, concrete work in the south is a different world from up here in the northeast. Constant freeze/thaw conditions are a masonry killer if not done correctly. I just never saw the benefits of using fibers tbh. I’d still like to see some wire reinforcement in there but looks good otherwise. Concrete work is not easy without the whole crew knowing what they’re doing especially in the hot sun & You guys do very nice work 👍🏻

LOL the ground does have to be level and concrete is typically not poured over dirt especially uneven dirt js

@@averageguy7641 you are mistaken I've been pouring concrete since I was 19 years old I'm 64 now we've poured on dirt most all the time and the ground is not always level you want slope for the water to run off

@@tomtroy3792 that's great Tom and I'm sorry to hear you're still pouring concrete at 64 but I got almost 30 years in the cement business myself and here in Philadelphia we put down crushed stone tamp it and get the grade right I don't know where you're from but different codes vary in different regions I suppose

@@tomtroy3792 slope/pitch on the finish work is not what I'm referring to Even the casual homeowner knows you have to have pitch on concrete I'm referring to that mess they're pouring over Looks like the Rocky mountains Carry on.......

@@hossy540 fiberglass mesh will never match up to the strength of rebar. Imagine a body with no skeleton. dOi
