My 4 year old recently fell and scraped a knee. After spraying it with an iodine solution I dusted it with a liberal amount of salicylic acid and wrapped it loosely with gauze. I’ll check him again in three months.🤗

That's how I got here as well although as an ex farmer I obviously have a 'professional' interest. In my personal experience, dealing with a lame farm animal so it can walk again and thrive properly is weirdly satisfying. There is a certain instant gratification to the job and every hoof is different.

Yeah, these videos have made me super curious about hoof horn. I can't figure out how hard or soft or brittle or rubbery it really is. Sometimes I think it's hard as rock and the knife is just crazy sharp; other times it seems to have so much give.

@@junbh2 as they are made of keratin, the same as human nails ( and in fact evolved from nail ,if you look it up),but are many times thicker,l would say that's what they feel like. Thick ,slightly flexible, hard nail :) .

Watched a dairy farmer talk about cows can have lush green pastures to lay in.......and where do they decide to go lay?? In the mud🤣😂. Not kidding. He shows how the haters make videos saying animals are forced to live in dirty conditions. I could understand why down arrow from people who think cow's shouldn't be in this situation in the first place. Not for the work he does. Which I'm sure everyone appreciates. Does an amazing service and cares. I'm not a vegan, I eat meat. But we really don't need red meal honestly. In fact it's not that good for us. Also alot of farms dgaf about theirs livestock. And we especially aren't supposed to be deinking milk. We're not infants. That's all I can think of.

Every time I see a picture of a hooved animal of any sort, I immediately look at the feet. Cows usually seem fine, but I'm surprised at how often I see a picture of an otherwise-beautiful horse who clearly needs a farrier.

Literally never knew cows needed so much work on their hoofs before, or at all until I watched your vids. It’s so nice to see them happy again.

It's just amazing the job you do. I can just imagine the cows and bulls talking in the field together about the man with the strange strange crush fence, and how after its over they feel better.👍
