Dear Bincy: I made the bread last night. My dough rose a bit too much and too quickly in the pan (second rising) and I was very concerned that there was no margin on the top. It did turn out very well, but I will place the dough in a cooler place next time for the rising. I just toasted a slice and it was delicious with my coffee. Thank you.
Excellent instructions, excellent bread! Thank You! I use to make bread for my family. This is definitely the best I have ever made. Did it in regular pan, with 2 kg of flour. Didn't have so much butter, so used 2dcl of cream taken from cooked milk. Sprayed with water during raising. Covered with paper not to burn during baking. When taken out from oven sprayed with warm water again and kept under rag while cooling. Bread is absolutely gorgeous. Thank You again!

@@bincychris thank You for Your kind reply. Sometimes when make bread and make mistake of too "heard" dough, and too tired of more kneading, trying to reduce heardness of crust, I sprayed it. Also, when raising dough, because kitchen is too cold, use to spray it. I cannot tell You 100%, but I think it helps softening crust, also spraying after taking out from oven.

....Cool completely before cutting !?!?!! No. One of the finest pleasures I have found on earth, is a slice of home made bread just out of the oven and with a nice amount of butter slathered on it. Thank you for the recipe, I will give it a try. I have not used my Pullman pan in many years. It's twice as long as yours but not as tall or deep, I hope this recipe will fill it. Thanks again.

Me too...a big fan of having oven fresh bread with some butter!.And I would love to add that I believe in this "carry over baking theory" After the bread is removed from the oven, the temperatures will equalize, with the interior continuing to warm, as the exterior begins to cool.if we slice the bread a this time, the steam will escape and it will prevent the inside of the bread to get cooked completely..especially in case of loaf breads. Hope your pullman loaf pan will fit in this recipe and I hope you will love the bread.Enjoy!!

Made the bread today, came out great. Except for mine rose very quickly the second proofing so I was unable to put the cover on to bake. It still came out beautifully, how do you store this?

Hi Chami .P Fernando,Thank you.Yes you can use margarine instead of butter ..and we can use a regular pan to make this bread..the bread will be equally delicious ;the only difference will be the top will be domed and the bread will have round edges on top.
