I know Winston Wolf didn’t say please, but he is incredibly polite. He asked if he could come in, he made sure it was ok if he could smoke, and he reimbursed for the linen. The Wolf is a highly polite person, love his manners and character

Winston Wolf is the protagonist of a whole franchise of movies we never got to see.

After all these years, I just noticed The Wolf used a handkerchief while holding the phone receiver to hide his fingerprints. What amazing attention to detail!

What you all got to appreciate is how nice of a guy Jimmy is. How good of a friend he is. He is a standup guy 1. He lets Jules hide a car with a corpse inside his garage 2. He let them inside his house and offered them Coffee even though they are both drenched in blood and brains 3. He lets them raid his closet and let them take blankets which they got as wedding gifts 4. He is courteous at all times to Mr. Winston Wolf, even fixes him a cup of coffee 5. On top of it, he is more worried about being divorced than getting his ass in jail

Punctual, Polite, Professional We could use more guys like this in the world.

"You've got a corpse in the car, minus a head, in the garage. Take me to it!" Wow...crazy as that line was, it cut to the chase. Winston Wolf owns the whole scene. He assesses the situation, articulates a plan, calms Jimmy down and gets him away from the crime scene by requesting a cup of coffee, deals with Vincent's pathetic power play, then compensates Jimmy accordingly. As he says later, "It's as if it never happened." Masterful.

I love that of all the cars The Wolf could drive, they chose to give him an NSX. Understated but highly capable, no nonsense and endlessly reliable - it perfectly surmises his character. You can imagine he bought that car because it’s exactly what he wanted from a vehicle. And that he effortlessly negotiated $10,000 off the list price.

9:02 I love the subtle detail that the Wolf knows to not let Jules drive, since they’re more likely to be pulled over by an LA cop.

Wolf takes big risk to drive the tainted car,. 100%respect

I've always found it kinda wholesome that Jimmy was worried Bonnie would leave him not because of the financial strain a divorce can have but because he actually loves her and doesn't want her to leave. He was even completely pissed off at two hitmen (one with an apparent short fuse) for risking his marriage. He wasn't even thinking about prison for helping to cover up a murder, just fretting about losing his wife. Weirdly wholesome moment.

I always liked Jimmy and The Wolf’s respectful and cordial interactions

"If I get my car back any different than I gave it, Monster Joe's gonna be disposing of two bodies." 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣

His little, "Hmmm" referring to Jimmy's coffee always cracks me up.

This scene looks so relaxing man, morning, sunlight in every shot, Jimmy in his bathrobe, sipping coffee in a comfy kitchen with two guys in suits covered in blood. Just the type a scene youd wanna live in.

I wish I was like Mr. Wolf sometimes, he’s just got this air that says “I’m calm but you WILL do what I say when I say.”

I always thought acting was easy and actors got too much credit for their performances, but seeing Tarantino’s acting makes me realize how talented the rest of the cast is lol.

Some massively underappreciated moments from this scene alone: When Wolf says "lotsa cream, lotsa sugar", Jules immediately shows frustration at Jimmie given he yelled at him earlier about how gourmet coffee should be drunk. When Wolf is rolling money in his hand in the bedroom, the sound of it syncs perfectly with the next shot of Vincent spraying in the car. When Jules and Vincent are arguing in the car, it is only Vincent's side of the frame is clean of blood. Tarantino used to visit Santa Cruz (on Vincent's t-shirt) a lot when his ex-girlfriend was a student at a university in that area. I just LOVE the minor details in this film and you can tell Tarantino is a pure artist at showing them!

Mr Wolf is a stoic. Watching this scene is like reading Marcus Aurelius. Doesn’t waste words, time or energy and treats everyone with respect.

The first time I saw this film when The Wolf said "Come again?" it immediately reminded me of my Dad giving my brothers giving that same look when one of us got snarky. It was the look of "you just poked the bear and you better walk away clean.".

There's a local coffee shop in my town that let's you order a coffee "wolf style" (lots a' cream, lots a' sugar).

We all need a guy like Winston Wolf in our lives

I really like how Winston Wolf presents Jimmy with compensation in a very persuasive way. Regardless of whether or not the linens were actually a gift from Jimmy's family is immaterial, The Wolf presents an uncomfortable situation with some comfort "If your aunt and uncle were with us today, they would furnish you with a whole bedroom set, which your uncle Marsellus is willing to do..." Presenting it in this way is a masterful way of making it easier for Jimmy to swallow sacrificing a bit of his family history and property to allow the guys to get away with this, brilliant pitch.

Always wondered how Jimmy was going to explain to his wife how all their bedding and blankets are missing, but "Hey! Look at all this cash I suddenly have!"

Out of all the scenes of this movie, THIS was my all time favourite!!! The Wolf man definitely portrays exactly the kind of man I would respect and love to hang with. Very efficient, no BS, no overlooked details no matter how minute, and right down to business without sugar coating anything. I especially loved his immediate response to Vincent's, "please would be nice" line, very cool. At 6:51 where he says, "let's not start suckin' each others' dicks" is a line I'll never forget.

The Wolf understands this: he states what he’ll do, when he’ll do it by, and then he delivers. He doesn’t over-promise or get cocky-instead, he collects the facts and then confidently states what’s doable. When faced with a complex task under a stressful deadline, it can be tempting to just dive in and sort things out as you go. More often than not, this ends up resulting in less efficiency and ultimately more work. It’s important to always assess the situation by identifying stakeholders, defining roles, objectives, and any other information that will help you get a clear picture of what’s ahead. When you do this, you can make decisions that consider the problem holistically. The Wolf is quick to divvy up tasks after identifying the stakeholders, gaining a clear understanding of the goal, and accessing the situation in the car. He understands that the goal can’t be met if he attempts to do it himself - he must involve his team: Vincent, Jules, and Jimmie. When The Wolf tells Vincent and Jules to clean the car, he gives them very specific instructions. The first priority is to put the body in the trunk. The next priority is to clean the car, but prioritize the cleaning of “the really messy parts”. The last step is to cover the upholstery in blankets provided by Jimmie, the gracious host. When The Wolf gives direction, it’s clear and concise. He doesn’t waste time elaborating on details that aren’t important, nor is he vague. His direction is crystal clear and to the point: Jules and Vincent are to stick the body in the trunk and clean the car fast, Jimmie is to get comforters and blankets that aren’t white, then Jules and Vincent are to camouflage the inside of the car with these comforters and blankets. Providing clear direction saves time, and time is valuable. It provides an understanding of what is expected, why it’s expected, and when it should be completed. Those whom you are delegating tasks to will appreciate the clarity because it will save them time and energy, and reduces the possibility of needing to do the tasks again. The Wolf doesn’t stand down when challenged by Vincent-he is firm and states his objective. He makes it clear why he is direct and what the outcome of cooperating will be. The Wolf understands that he must empathize with his stakeholders. In this case, it’s Jimmie and the explosive result of his wife returning home before Vincent and Jules are gone. He immediately confirms the facts: there’s a corpse without a head in the garage, Bonnie is to return in forty minutes, and she would be very unhappy to find them still there.

I like how Wolf takes a moment to notice how good the coffee is.

Not only did the wolf give a superb service; he taught them his skill set.

The whole movie's a classic, but this is definitely the best scene.

A person like Mr. Wolf gets paid really well and is respected because they have bailed out so many people from legal trouble from their own mess. Sort of like The Disappearer from Breaking Bad. You follow what he tells you, you get a new life and new fresh start. You cross these people trying to help you, you are on your own and most likely will be caught by the cops. These guys have earned the respect and as follows get treated with respect . These people are rare that have a cool head and know how to take control of a room.

This whole scene with Tarantino is an excellent example to show the difference between a train actor and those who are just not cut for the job.

Mr Wolf is the ultimate Project Manager/Problem Solver. Tarantino should make him the lead character in some of his movies.

The monologues and characters in pulp fiction are perfection, I must of watched the movie around 100 times and still it keeps my interest and never goes stale, the perfect movie in my opinion

I want an entire movie of nothing but Mr Wolf.

1:49 is the greatest line in the movie. He just smiles, nods his head and says "mmm". Such a subtle but amazing touch.

The way Jules stares down Vincent the moment he opens his mouth and asks Wolf to say please. Lol

I like Mr Wolf. He sees the situation, plans the best course of action, gives crystal clear orders, takes into account possible problems and plans accordingly.

How Samuel Jackson did not win the academy award for his part in this movie is unbelievable! If he never did another movie , just this movie would qualify him for a lifetime achievement award!

Did anybody happen to notice how much more Cooperative Jimmy was with the Wolf than Jules or Vincent?

Winston Wolf is a positive model of masculinity (hear me out). he is comfortable with and sure of himself but not an asshole. he realizes that Vincent was offended and so apologizes while still being all business. he is not trying to impress anyone. when Jimmy asks how he takes his coffee he doesn't say "black"; he goes for a "girly" order--lots of cream and lots of sugar. he is always polite, never yells, and his only flaw is that he's all business all the time (but that might just be because of the circumstances). Tarantino put that coffee line there to show that Wolf is not the stereotypical "macho man". Tarantino knew every guy would read Wolf as a badass and he wanted to remind the dudes in the audience that it wasn't for the reason they initially think (he's rude, he drives fast, etc.) Very great work. great scene. great character.

Rented The Crow when it first came out on VHS and when I seen the preview of this movie I was floored. 12 year old me didn't know what to think of it but it's remained one of my favorites to this day.

The way that Jimmy is stareing at the cash when The Wolf pulled out of he's pocket was like "holy shit ....he is fucking serious about the money".

Obviously Keitel, Travolta and Jackson are bloody excellent in this. But Tarantino himself plays one hell of a good part here.

I love the fact that some people who saw this movie when it first came out must have been wondering how Vincent was still alive if he was that irresponsible as a hitman only to be greeted with an answer later on during Butch's chapter.

I appreciate how, even after Vincent's outburst earlier, The Wolf doesn't hold the situation against him or tease too much at the end. He asks him once if he understands, Vincent promises he does, and he drops it. "Fair enough."

Winston Wolf is an all-around badass character and really cool guy, but I think my favorite thing about him is he takes his coffee with "lotsa cream, lotsa sugar". Fakers pretend they like black coffee, but people who are really cool aren't afraid to say they prefer it with cream and sugar

One thing I notice from this film years later on, it is all about respect. Captain Koons keeping his promise to give back the watch to Butch. Butch helping out Marcellus when he gets raped, even though he broke the deal and is hunted by the same Marcellus. Winston helping in and Jules giving all his money to save Ringo's life and giving the gold back to his boss to end his assignment as a criminal. Great film.

For Harvey Keitel this was little more than a bit part. But great actors make the most of their scenes. Recall Gary Busey in The Firm. And Peter Lorre in Casablanca. For those actors, it's not how big the part is, it's what they do with it. So memorable.
