Hey guys! It's Danny and Niamh again, and this week we're watching Pulp Fiction!
This is our second venture into the mad world of Quentin Tarantino and this one is one of Danny's personal favourite movies, whereas Niamh had never seen it before - but she loved it! We laughed the whole way through this one, with every bizarre twist and turn just making it all the more fun!
We hope you enjoy our reaction! Let us know what you thought down below. We react to new movies every Friday, so subscribe to the channel to see more! See you next week 😊💙

So tell us, where do we stand? Is a foot massage inherently sexual/romantic?
@YoureMrLebowski

if you're doing it for free it's definitely positively inherently sexual/romantic.💗 if you're getting paid (preferably licensed by the state) it's just a massage. 😇

And wasn't the interior of that Nova mostly vinyl? Porbably coulda just covered the ignition, carpet and dash with a tarp ,hosed the thing out and use a blow drier.

So, some context because I appreciate the realism in the ODing scene. You guys were right, Mia thought the heroin was coke, so she cut herself a line. Now, you can snort heroin, that was not the issue. The issue is the amount of heroin it takes to overdose is so so so so so much less than the amount of coke it takes to overdose. So if you line up heroin thinking it is coke, then you end up doing enough to pretty much immediately overdose.

In the openning diner scene, you can hear Jules and Vince talking in the background. Also, When Marcelus gets run over by Butch, he's carrying two coffees. He thought the last thing Butch would do is go back to his apartment. That's why he took Vince there so they could catch up after Vince's long absence. That's also why Vince didn't do anything when Butch came in and started making noise. He just thought Marcellus was back.

@@CoyzyMovieNight The Kill Bill films are fantastic. You will not be dissatisfied. The back story for those films is also interesting. QT’s love of Asian cinema led him to use crews from the legendary TOHO studios in Japan and Shaw Brothers Studios in China, both studios produced the vast majority of Samurai/ Yakuza and Kung Fu movies for decades. Gordon Liu who stars in both Kill Bill films ( in different roles ) is a giant in Martial Arts cinema starring in classics like The 36 Chambers Of Shaolin and Fist of the White Lotus which is also eluded to in Kill Bill. I am an older guy who watched this movie when it came into cinema in '94 - I was in my early 20s. The movies back then created a new way of dealing with brutal violence. Just a few years earlier there was "Silence of the Lambs" where Anthony Hopkins and Jody Foster gave their astonishing performance. Then there was Kalifornia with Brad Pitt - a really underrated movie. Like True Romance which was also written by Tarantino. Both came 93 in cinema. There were several other movies that really did something... different. The music also changed back than - Nirvana killed hair metal and the whole polished industry and musicians had a comeback who were interested in their music and not about style and trends. Early 90s... was a special times. In politics just a few years ago the Berlin Wall disappeared and USSR broke together. There was a lot weird stuff going on but... there was also some hope that the world could become a better place. Actually it didnt but culture and technology really were pushed a lot. PC took over the offices and the first playstation was released also in 94. Maybe cause it was "my time" of the early 20s I put too much into this time period. But maybe... not. Pulp Fiction did have a huge impact on many young people back then. It showed that you could tell a story without the need of special effects or fantasy stuff. Just take some criminals, create characters that seem to be consistent and throw them into weird situations.... and... LET THEM TALK! Its sad that til today diologue is so often done in a bad way. Anyway - thanks a lot four your reaction. Its always a pleasure to see young folks watching these classics for the first time and relive my own experience a tiny bit. Wish you all the best for your channel and your whole life 🙂

I admit i'm 44 i only saw this film in January (i've watched it another 3 times since lol) for about 30 years the original Halloween had been my favourite movie, until i saw this. I know it's largely a action gangster film, for me though i see it mostly as a comedy, that could be a lot to do with my British twisted sense of humour. I'm sure a lot of stuff is intentionally funny, but for me the most hilarious scene is when they are trying to revive Mia.

Mia snorted the heroin thinking it was cocaine, that´s the detoning to had the overdose (heroin can be snorted as well, but the most common way it´s like Vincent did, using a needle. Also Mia was full of drugs in that moment). And Vincent goes a lot to the bath, due to he´s an heroin addict, and that provokes you, sometimes, constipation. Even the shot to Marvin´s face, it´s due to heroin, that also provokes you spasms (in this case pulling the trigger).

One thing that is definitely intentional but not often brought up, Vincent warns that putting your hands on another man's wife (especially Marcellus' wife) is cause for reaction and that's why Tony Rocky Horror got what he got. Vince never tells Marcellus, but Vincent goes further when he rips her clothes off in his haste to ready her for the shot and then "penetrates" her, and dies later for his transgression. This script goes in circles and it's awesome.

The guy who comes out of the bathroom blasting (And Missing) is actor Robert Arquette. Robert later changed his name to Alexis after becoming transgender. She/he is the sibling of Patricia, David and Rosanna (Who plays Jody, Lance's wife) Arquette. Alexis was in the movie "The Wedding Singer" as "George" the Boy George look a like in the band. She died from AIDS complications.

They in fact did not win the trophy. When Butch is going back to his apartment you can overhear a radio saying the twist contest trophy was robbed 😂

I like how Harvey Keitel's career was saved buy this Director, like Travolta (with previous movie and this one), he's a great actor. It's well known he was going to give up on acting before Reservoir Dogs

You've done his most recent film and his most influential film. I would just go in chronological order from here. His evolution as a filmmaker is fascinating and fun to watch. As a self-confirmed Tarantino nerd, all of his films fall into either the Great Film or Amazing Film categories for me. So, if it's any help, here is my Amazing Tarantino Film list: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained, True Romance, From Dusk 'till Dawn, and Natural Born Killers (Grindhouse was excellent too, but I feel like it worked much better in the theatres). All of his other films fall into the "Great" category, so they're still great.

Garcon is used to mean waiter in France if it is a cafe. But technically it does mean boy also.
