Pulsecon 2023 Reveals: UniFuzion!!! 

As an enjoyer of Animated, Japanese Beast Wars, Rescue Bots and “who the heck are you” characters like Thundertron, United wave 1 makes me very happy.

I can't remember the last time that we got a Mainline wave with zero G1. Its nice to have some more variety in mainline.

The reason Tigerhawk has so many similarities to Silverbolt - including the wingtip weapons (which the original toy had) - is because originally Tigerhawk was suppose to be an upgraded version of Silverbolt before they changed it into a hybrid of Tigertron and Airrazor.

One thing that I like about Legacy Chase is me realizing how the babies that grew up with Rescue Bots are now in the age of being collectors. How time flies… Also some people are pointing out that because of the exhausts and the arrangement of the legs, he’s a pretool for IDW Lockdown or Prime Cliffjumper.

Apparently the tidal wave is a proper Titan, but instead of splitting into parts for megatron, he has the megatron components inside of him to take out and give to Megs

As a fan of Rescue Bots, Animated, and armorizers, United is an absolute win

"Do you care that it's Megatron from Energon?" Correct sir, I do care. He was my first Megatron design I was introduced to, and I love the design. Plus it can be retooled into a Shattered Glass Megatron that isn't just a Siege Megatron retool.

One thing that I think is really neat about Tigerhawk is how they actually used some of the animal textures and details from Kingdom Airazor and Tigatron. Like say what you will about those two figures, but I think that's a really nice way to reference Tigerhawk being the fusion of those two characters. Chase also has me excited - along with a retool into a Movieverse Barricade, he could also work really well as a retool into Prime Cliffjumper ngl.

Bee and Prime are my standouts for this line so far because I looooove Animated. Thundertron looks so much cooler than I was expecting to me at least. And I’m currently holding a bet on what Chase is gonna be retooled into, Lockdown or Prime Cliffjumper, if you compared the altmode literally all it’s missing for Cliff is the horns for a modern take on him.

I'm so glad you like the rocklords! They might actually be my favorite of the new figures they're just so goofy and fun and I will definitely be getting them

Tidalwave will most likely come with accessories that you can put on Megatron. Windblade looks fine. I don't get the notion that she's creepy. It's really just a transformer wearing a kabuki mask. Prime Thundertron looks good, Animated Prime and Bumblebee look good and Prime not having his mask isn't a sin considering he didn't have it on through most of the show. It was more prevalent in his power up mode.

Theory: Hasbro waits for a perspective end reveal video to come out before they reveal way more stuff

Thundertron looks like a sage character that commands the Rock Lords and has a backstory with a main villain.

Others in the community have made a case that the Chase mold could also be re-colored, of course with a new head, into Prime Cliffjumper.

Definitely a few solid figures this go around. I'm in agreement about Wingblade, I have a thrilling 30 version and don't really see this replacing that. Chase will stand next to my kid's old rescue bot team that I've kept for sentimental reasons. Definitely some other awesome figures, but it'll depend on how thick or thin my wallet is and if I can beat our local scalpers

I'm very happy that they're making the Rescue Bots in the Chug Aesthetic, I loved that show and being able to get some big-boy figures of the Rescue Bots is exciting for me.

Mainly getting TFA Optimus, Bee and Windblade. This whole wave looks REALLY good, and I might pick up Chase.

There's also rumors that Chase is a pretool of prime Cliffjumper and I really hope that's the case. The belly roof body type is my favorite and this seems to be way more successful than Kingdom tracks while also keeping the car chunk sunken into the body

If anything, Chase looks like a pretool of TFP Cliffjumper with the side exhausts, the Dodge Challenger looking car mode, and the bot mode having TFP Cliffjumper's aesthetics just Chug-ified. (roof chest, big arms) I am quite excited for Animated Prime and the Infernac Bots, they look like a ton of fun.

I am only really interested in Magmatron and Thundertron, but I love all of these and might get some others if I have the money to spare.

The Windblade is Cyberverse Warrior Class Windblade, but bigger, with an even bigger backpack, no gimmick, rotating turbines, and something to cover the back of the legs

7:41 got this in hand and I really enjoy it. Robot mode is excellent, has more range in all of its joints, his feet are very articulated and because of how wide it is it will require barely any effort to get it to stand and while some of the joints were not clipped off correctly on my copy I did some modifications by sanding those down and it rotates without issue. The transformation is quite good and the truck mode isn’t that bad in person for me. I normally don’t get upgrade kits or sticker sheets but the DNA design upgrade kit for this figure is definitely something I’m going to get.

Considering the ways Perspective uses to describe how bad a figure is, I was expecting something along the lines of "WHY ARE HIS PECKS EATING HIS STOMACH?" for the Animated optimus

Out of all the many figures i have in my collection, my absolute favorite has always been Magmatron, I dont think I've ever been more excited for any other figure than a commander class magmatron with some updated articulation.

Tasmain Kid IS on OG Beast Wars figure. It's the Japanese name for Snarl, a figure in the original Beast Wars toyline.

Energon Megatron has always had a special place in my heart considering it was one of my first ever introductions into megatron back when i was a toddler. Also, Animated Optimus looks like they shoved two tons of robo-steroids into him. His chest is massive, his arms are huge, his head looks wider somehow, and the truck mode cab looks like a whole ass boulder.

We gotta see that magmatron as soon as possible

I came into Transformers off of Rescue Bots, so Chase makes me VERY happy, he's probably my favorite reveal of Pulsecon, I've already pre-ordered him.

If they don't turn that Chase mold into a barricade mode I'll have to do it myself.

For Tidal Wave it was confirmed that he IS the Titan and will have parts you can take off to give Megatron his armor and probably the "Dark Fleet" when not combined. I think they'll be hidden inside Tidal Wave in parts like TJ Omega speculated. Energon is Core Class since they're testing the waters with him and the BM Cheetor to see what people want more of. But they don't want to put a lot of budget in per the risk of that not selling well due to series reputation. Technically the bike and jeep aren't rock lords, they're from the Inhumanoids universe (Infernac) but obviously are paying homage to it still. I'm totally getting at least the bike. The duplicate rock guys is because it's, in lore, a Sparkless monster, a grunt to act as a Junkion counter. I am absolutely with you on Chase. I recently started watching RB out of boredom and that head just ruins the whole piece for me. Everyone else is praising thos to no end, I just can't, it's accurate at all. Also pretty good show, nice background noise at worst. Chase also seems to be the base for a Prime Cliffjumper going off what people are saying. I liked the Animated Prime until I saw these pics, that torso cones out way too far and has some gaps in the side I can't stop looking at. The lack of mask is honestly the right call, he spent most of the show without it on and is more iconic for him. Plus it helps differentiate him from other Optimis figures. Tigerhawk totally should have some ice and fire blast effects he can hold.

I am so excited for chase. I’m a junior in high school and Rescue Bots was how I got into the franchise (the first figures I ever got were rescue bots toys of optimus and bumblebee) and for a long time i’ve had a 4-pack set of the rescue bots which was fine, but they’re 1 step changer baby toys. Chase doesn’t look perfect, but i’m just happy that soon i’ll have “real” versions of the characters that got me into the series. And yeah the show is beloved by kids lol, it is pretty good and i’d recommend it if you want to watch a cute kids show

I absolutely adore core Megatron. He’s so cute!!!! Other than the core classes, I’m probably only going to pick up magneous and tigerhawk; who are absolutely amazing. If I don’t limit myself, I’d probably end up buying every figure in this wave. I probably shouldn’t do that, considering the upcoming commander and titan

Fucking 40 is now the name of next year's Toyline.

The rescue bots designs are actually pretty interesting, and I hope we see more of them translated to the mainline style

TM2 Megatron was my white whale/holy grail. So with that one on my shelf I'm more mellow with the reveals. I'm relieved they are finishing up Legacy instead of a Fab 40 like Thrilling 30. The smaller casts of Animated, Prime, RID, Rescue Bots and Cyberverse has me thinking we will burn through most of the series by this time next year. And we will stull have a few G1 figures waiting in the wings.

I kinda want the chase figure to be turned into a stylized version of movie 1 barricade

Considering the T30 Windblade, I will take this one. Less horrid legs, and an altmode that works. In exchange of a bit more batpack. Tigerhawk is amazing. The Rocklords are the new modulators, with the core class being basically a living mega-sword for voyager class figures to wield.

The reason why Tasmania kid reminds you so much of an og Beast wars toy is because it kinda is! Tasmania kid used the BW Snarl mold so it’s faithfully recreated here, even if it’s not meant to be Snarl.

It's about time Tigerhawk got a new toy! Though I'm still hoping he reappears in animated media in the future. You can't introduce someone as cool as Tigerhawk, kill him off 3 episodes later and then never show him again. Also YAY Tasmania Kid! This is basically confirmation that Legacy will do all BW II characters in the future (at least, I hope so). Needless to say, will be looking forward to these two.

I never thought I'd see a wave that is not only all non-g1, but is also a 100% pickup. I actually like the legacy version of animated prime a little more than his original design because of the chunk factor, and I've already pre-ordered him twice on bbts and pulse so I can get him as quick as possible.

Combining Rock Lords you say? You know what'd be the perfect thing to combine into? A big rock! ...or maybe an homage to Metlar from the Inhumanoids.

I really hope that with Tidal Wave in the poster there is a chance for Armada Jetfire. Leader class should be the right size, but i could take Commander Class if it also comes with Overload.

i know you said chase is likely going to be retooled into an evergreen barricade but ther is also another character i could see it being retooled to that would actually fit the style; Prime universe Cliffjumper

Perspective being excited for two anime characters? (Magmatron originates in the Japanese Beast Wars Neo) has Armageddon begun? Regarding your comment on Tasmania Kid looking like a genuine OG Beast Wars toy: he was actually just a repaint of one initially, same as most of the Beast Wars 2 cast.

I would be fine if titan class was sometimes a really really well built commander like creme de le crop with enough accessories to practically make a full second figure (not combine just that many accessories)

Interesting thing to note about Thundertron, he seems to use the same engineering as ROTB Cheetor. Still not sure what he could possibly be a pretool for.

I love the Tiger Hawk and I think they are definitely going to be using that mold for a retool of Slver Bolt and then Thunder Tron looks amazing if your a Transformers prime fan as I am

I'm more interested in what they may retool this wave into. I would like to see a Barricade from the Chase mold, a Wasp from the Bumblebee mold, and Silverbolt from the Tigerhawk mold.

I can't wait to get tiger hawk. Although for someone who's favorite transformer is tigatron seeing tigatron come back in tigahawk after thinking he was gone for good only to have him die the next episode broke me a little. Honestly might be why I'm so happy whenever tigatron stuff gets revealed.

Thundertron was a scrapped character from prime that was supposed to be the main villain of season 3 until, they decided to focus on beasts. Makes me wonder if they could do new figures of other scrapped characters

at least it's bleedingly obvious that Rescue Bots Chase is a premold for Animated Lockdown. so there's that to look forward to.

I loved this year’s Pulse Con, it was so good! Really feeling and getting the BW Tigerhawk because he looks boss, TFA Optimus and Bumblebee because I have always wanted figures of them two, Prime Thundertron due to thinking that he looks cool and RB Chase because why not?! United is by far the best looking line to me now.

I strangely don't mind the bulkiness of the Windblade figure. You just know if she came out in G1 she'd have the same shit designs as Arcee and the other fembots despite transforming into a whole ass vehicle and not just cosplaying as a transformer like their animation models would have you believe, and if she was designed by someone actually trying to design a transformer in G1 she'd probably look like that more or less, and since "your beloved designs but geewunnified" is what Legacy is going for it kind of checks out. The only complaint I have with the bulkiness is the backpack, because RiD Warrior class Windblade did the same thing but that section wasn't nearly as thick. Hasbro go on about the cost of plastic and hollowness being necessary as a result but then waste more plastic than necessary to make that bit way thicker than it needs to be? Why? In vehicle mode the tip of the jet nose looks like a full hot dog sticking out of half of a hot dog bun.

Over all, I agree with you about these reveals - except the "no mask" complaint on Animated Optimus (and probably him in general, he's hitting the design elements better than Bumblebee and every Prime figure they did - except knockout's alt mode). Sure, the faceplate is Optimus trademark, but the Animated version was without it for 90% of the show. And almost every one of the original toyline's Optimus figures already came with the faceplate. So this is better.

finaly someone else who hates the prowl-repaint-barricade! the sleek and kind appearance of the datson bros molds just doesn't work for the brutal menace that is barricade

i didn't like animated prime at first too but its based on the cartoon truck mode and basically a spitting image of it, its actually kinda amazing

0:48 Before they shown the full United poster, I thought that this was Transmetal 1 Megatron in dino mode with the hip turbines. By wow, Magmatron! No one saw this coming. -Energon Universe Megatron: For being small scale, his design is accurate to the show. From what I remember, oh how the mighty have fallen. Still in his Armada Galvatron body, which was stuck to the walls inside Unicron, he drains some energon to revive himself, only to end here being as short as a minicon. A pass for me. -Beast Wars 2 Universe Tasmanian Kid: Honestly though he was going to a Kingdom Rattrap retool. But no, he's a new mold. And now we got new characters from the new Infernac Universe. Armorizers Rock Lord vehicles. The two that were revealed are cool. But I feel like the names should have been switched. The red rock motorbike should have been called Magneous, due to the red magma outlines in-between the rocks. And the grey/black car should have been called Bouldercrash, due to him looking like he was made out of boulder, and he can form a batter ram to crash into others. Looking forward to the rest of the Armorizers. -Animated Universe Bumblebee: The shoulder look more correct, great. Looking forward to getting this yellow guy. -Rescue Bots Universe Chase: He looks cool. I remember that one of the Hasbro guys said that there would be more characters from this mold. I'm hoping for a red repaint as Throttlebot Chase, maybe even Prime Universe Cliffjumper. But as Barricade, sure, I like to see that happen. -Cyberverse Universe Windblade: I enjoyed her portrayal on the show. I do wish she looked more like her show design, but I'm still getting her. Honestly looks better than her past figures. -Prime Universe Thundertron: For a toy only character, I'm surprised that Hasbro considered him for the Legacy lineup. Second time around, he looks great. And he can do the peg leg like his original toy. Looking forward to getting this Pirate. -Animated Universe Optimus Prime: unmask face to feet, robot to truck cab, he looks awesome. The figure just works for me. -Beast Wars Universe Tigerhawk: Hasbro made Tigerhawk accurate and awesome to his appearance. Looking forward to having him next to Kingdom Airazor and Tigertron. -There was also a reissue of Laser Optimus Prime. For those who missed out of the first run, or wanted this instead due to the new United box packaging design and open window. -commander class Magmatron: His character artwork looks awesome as hell. I've heard of him, seen his toy and know that he's a villain in some Beast Wars anime show. I personally don't care enough to look up more of his history. But when he was fully reveal in the center of the Legacy United poster, I instantly got excited. -titan class Tidal Wave: Hell yeah, he's gonna be as huge as he should. Fan theorized that he will be commander, to do the take apart and combine with Armada Megatron. I honestly never like that gimmick at all in the show and toy. So even though Tidal Wave won't do that here, he might have parts that come off his body to mimic him enough to look combined with Legacy Armada Megatron. Sadly no Studio Series reveals. But luckily we won't have to wait long. One of the Hasbro guys took to social media and said that the next years Studio Series lineup will be showcase at the end of October.

Chase has exhaust and his vehicle modes shape is similar to Prime Cliffjumper so we’ll probably see him as that and they were joking how you could use the rescue claw as knuckle dusters

I recently acquired an Energon Powerlinx Galvatron and I really wanna get that core Energon Megatron so he can have a little buddy to pair with.

Honestly as excited I am for everything else I’m most excited for titlewave, I was to young to ever enjoy armada back when it came out, but I do remember having the ps2 transformers game where titlewave appeared, I thought he was the coolest thing. But when I found out the toy was only slightly bigger then armada prime I was disappointed, but I think titan class will finally due one of my low-key favorites justice.

Ngl I think Chase could also be a lockdown. He has a somewhat similar layout to ROTF/IDW/Cyberverse lockdown, he’s got the hooks and he’s a slightly above average hieght car former. Only issue is axelgrease exists making it less likely.

I’m really hoping we get a Gen Selects of Tigerhawk into Razorclaw

I’m excited for Thundertron mainly because they’re at least somewhat acknowledging how they fucked over prime’s third season. Also, I hope they make the rest of the rescue bots.

It’s refreshing to finally see a wave with NO redecos, retools, repaints, and no G1

The fact this first wave doesn't have a single G1 character. Energon, Beast wars, Animated? Rescue bots?! ROCK LORDS??!!

Every single reveal for this wave I will be picking up because they all look amazing I think it’s amazing that hasbro somehow managed to one up evolution

With Animated Prime, he didn’t really have is mask on that much in the show so I like him not having one on the toy. Also fun fact with the truck, the original animated truck didn’t have wheels in the front, but since those wheels are very much needed the designers did their best to hide them with the bumper.

These all look really good I can’t wait to for the optimus and tiger hawk.

My friend is really hoping Tigertron gets a straight repaint as Universe Razorclaw. On one hand, no effort, on the other i had both and Razorclaw's colors just work, with him being just different enough looking to break the Nemesis Prime trope.
