I've tried a vegan and a non-vegan version. And I must say that the taste of the ones with the butter in it was so much better. But it's a good thing that there is a vegan version of it. Thumbs up!!!
You're awesome Gretchen! love watching Veganised versions of your wonderful recipes. I've made lots of your recipes and they have been my go to for birthdays etc. Being plant based now has made me realised these adjusted recipes cater for sooo many different food allergies ( thanks for doing all the hard work, easier to just follow instructions sometimes😝). I've been a chef for 30 years but have always enjoyed baking, your recipes are bomb and I have so much confidence in the end result before I've even begun. Love to ya from Australia👍🏼
To see them being made omg! Big fan of Pumpkin here! 😋 The day of Thanksgiving breakfast, because the day after thanksgiving too stuffed. Lol. You ate 3? Omg lol. Yes get them out of the house. Did your mom and stepdad try them? I have so much pumpkin I bought last year because of the pumpkin shortage now I know what to make 😊
Hi direly. I see ms Gretchen answered you. I'm putting in my 2 cents too. Yessssss. But I use yams and bake them not boil in water. You will love results. happy holidays
Hi, Gretchen. Those pumpkin cinnamon treats look simply delish. What's the best tool for buttecream frosting? Have a good day, Gretchen. Keep up the good work, my dear friend. 💖💖💖
I did try this recipe because it looked fun and interesting, but sadly the results didn't match the video. The height was not over the rim of the baking sheet, and they were hard and tough before the end of the day. I think that I erred on the side of not adding enough flour, so the dough didn't have enough strength to contain the loft that was created during the rising process. There is a certain magic to cinnamon rolls that I have never mastered, but one of these days I'll get it. The upside of the process was that I was able to give the product to a friend who still thought they were edible, and he shared them with some others, who thought it was a real hit.
awe thanks for the feedback, Im sorry that happened, yeast doughs are not always easiest to convey there is that "touchy-feely" element and a certain "knowing" for what to look for, which is why I say mistakes are the best teachers! and now you can try again with SUCCESS based on your failure! YAY! keep going!! :)
YAY! thankyou! Although it is not organized yet into vegan and non so it may be confusing for those not understanding this is a recent transition ! But thankyou!!!
Gretchen's Bakery Oh I said you are a bakery channel and do some vegan recipes as well as non vegan :) I just said to look through and you'll find some vegan ones :)
Gretchen's Bakery just be aware in nz that we don't get many vegan ingredients like the butters etc. so there are things you use we have never heard of!
Michelle Browning I have found good substitutes here in nz for all Gretchens recipes. For a great butter replacement try nuttelex buttery :) You can get it at new world and paknsave
Are Margerine vegan? And could you make potato bread or something vegan focaccia. Hope you would make it. Would like to tackle it. ☺ By the congratulation on your near to 100,000 Subscriber!
🙋♀️question! I made these twice and they taste great, however my dough isn’t rolling right. It’s still sticky even after I knead it and add flour. I’m adding around a cup and a half of flour but it’s still pretty sticky. But then the dough is breaking while I’m rolling it. It’s a mess😱 Am I making it too dry? Too wet??? HELP🙏
Hey there, WOW how weird this is!! This is an older recipe/video and I JUST TODAY MADE THESE AGAIN & Tweaked the recipe! I added more flour too (than the original stated) I think it was 4-5 cups? Now I have changed it to 5-6 cups~ but click here for the revamped version! www.gretchensveganbakery.com/pumpkin-cinnamon-buns/ I even re-edited the video (it will go up tomorrow) but I noted in the video & recipe that it is a super sticky dough. However I was also adding that much more flour after, so this revised version is going to be much better for you! Sorry for the trouble! Thanks for the comment!
