Remember: he gets weaker with every miss, but that weakness disappears when he hits. Also, in both fights, after each round, he regenerates health by drinking his Soda Pop. You can cancel it quickly to quickly reduce the amount of health regenerated significantly.
clswinson1 Have a star punch on you, then you have landed 4 punches in a stun, USE the star punch, if you did it correct, he'll be knocked Down by that star punch.

Honestly the weird part to me is that. Every other fighter in the game felt at least somewhat fair and I could beat within a few days. Soda, it took me a while to understand them in title defense and it felt as if I have to play perfect otherwise the random attack script is too hard to predict anymore. Tl:DR got through the career mode both times and soda is *still* the hardest fight.
theres a really good trick against him everytime he does an attack or if you hit him with a star punch hi will then be even more drunk which that will make him even more dizzy wich means more hits
Well, every time you dodge a punch, you get one more punch added to the stun combo. When you get hit, it resets to 2, making the fight really difficult.
Tip: 1. Always expect him to do 2 side punches and then 2 uppercuts. 2. If you keep stunning him (no stars), you can knock him out even quicker! 3. Everytime you shoot a star, comes out of KO, he will be MAD.
After the match, you get a short animation of mac being disappointed, and drops the belt in the middle of the ring. Then you just rematch the opponent again for the title
@Ultoman10 I only play with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, not the Balance Board. Personally, I think it's a bit easier playing with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk - but that's my opinion. And yes, I have played 'Tyson's Punch-Out!!' on the NES.

Actually, to the maker of this video's description, Soda Popinski is much harder since every time you hit him, he turns redder thereby rendering the color coding used to sense each boxer's attacks useless. Couple this with extremely unpredictable attacks and Soda Popinski's going to destroy you if you don't beat him in Round 1.
I am. Jesus, his punches are lightning fast. And once you get hit by one, his combo meter resets and you do barely any damage. I guess it's all about consistent, persistent doging.
Probably because it's a very old joke and doesn't even make sense in this context. But props for at least making sure the joke hasn't been done already (even though it was for good reason).

And what have we learned form this fight? Never drink super sodas. Stick with the diet and normal kinds, people. We've already seen the side-effects of the Super Soda Popinski drank.

how? just how? how are you so damn good? The biggest thing that relly gets me is his uppercuts. once you knock him down once, i just feel they become a bit faster. another way to get stars is if you dodge his normal hook and throw a slightly delayed one at him.
