Yes it is.. Misa is a total boss in this.. Can't forget cutie pie Pigeon with the little "Lu lu lu" as well.. A very cool group of Ladies.. Glad to see you back..
The concept of the Maid costumes is Miku Kobato's (red flower). She was working in a Maid Cafe at the time and her agency gave her the go ahead to form a band. So she did. The best Rock band in world right now. The maid concept is to create "the Gap" meaning the difference in what you are seeing "Demure Maids" vs what you are hearing Hard Rock music. It work rather well!!
I hope you get to react to a clip on RU-vid of Band Maid's one hour set at this summer's Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago. There is a two song pairing from the Hulu broadcast of their performance. The two songs, Dice and Hate?, were amazing. During the interlude between the two songs, Akane, the drummer, kept pounding the drums and seamlessly transitioned into Hate?. During Hate?, there is a call and respond duel between Misa, the bassist, and Kanami, the lead guitarist. IT IS EPIC. That clip has gone viral on the internet. It's definitely worth a reaction.
Guitar riff reminiscent of “Ace of Spades” by Motörhead. Chorus hook with trademark pop sensibilities. Bass solo brings the funk. “1 2 3 4 Parking Lot!” Courtesy of a small pigeon. This song isn’t in my top 25 Band Maid songs; however, in concert? It’s my #1. The most fun you can have with your clothes on. Being a musician usually means we hear things others don’t. Band Maid rewards us with complex, progressive music that blends genres, but somehow? It seems fun and catchy? How? Enjoy exploring. I really think you’ll be inspired by any of these: “From Now On,” instrumental “Blooming,” punk beats within progressive hard rock “DICE,” catchy as it gets, hard rock with Maid magic
I've seen them live twice in the last week and both times they ended the show with "No God". Seeing them again tonight. Just think, they play like this for 2 hours! Catch them live as soon as you have the chance, you will not regret it!
Enjoyed your reaction..! I'd like to suggest that you now listen to the acoustic version of this song from their Christmas concert.. their arrangements are amazing...
Punk Musician eh? Well You got to dive in to some Japanese Punk!!!!! The grandmothers of J-punk is Shonen Knife. Still playing after 42 years as a band. Junky58% takes their heritage to the future. Then we have bands like the amazing Otoboke Beaver, The Erections and so on.. A band that doesn't play anymore is The Mad Capsule Market. The bassplayer is on his own now and he has even wrote a couple of songs to BABYMETAL. The J-punk scene is vital and awesome!
Imagine you have a house full of maids; Miku is the maid you use when you have guest and you need tea or drinks served Kanami is the maid doing work, making beds, dusting, folding clothes Akane would be the maid in charge of the kitchen, buying the groceries(extra bananas) Misa is the one you bring in when it's time to show the guest out, usually, when they're not ready to go And finally, Saiki would be the head maid, like supervisor The middle management maid That's why they dress differently
The audience participation voices would have been much louder but the Japanese government still had their people muzzled from Covid here, STILL!!!! in 2023!!.....SMH. A months later the muzzles were lifted and people were allowed to yell, cheer and scream at concerts. Favorite Band-Maid songs are fleeting.......till the next new song comes out. Personally I have over 130 favorite Band-Maid songs.
The biggest crime in mixing this year. How drunk was the engineer to think "oh yea, lets put the bass at the very bottom of the mix, barely audible, for this song that literally has a bass lead from start to finish and a bass solo on top"... Fucking hell. You can check out the much better live version from two years ago off-camera. The difference is extreme: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nAdWnIRjGak.html
