I'm suppose u know about sulfur powder keeps ticks off you. put it in a sock and then beat it around your shoes and ankles after u have put your pants in your soaks
Would appreciate if someone could post a link to the mush bug shirt Tdo bought. Trying to find something similar to get here in Sweden. Our Elk flies are nasty.
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation "TENS unit". I use mine for my crunchy brittle lower back. It's not a cure, but when you find the right setting, you can function almost normally when you're wearing it. I do believe you need a prescription for it. *Hold on a sec, I did that googly thing. You can get a lower powered -up to 80 mA, over the counter. The really good ones -up to 100 mA need a script.
Two things that help my bad back recover: 1) 5 minutes in my inversion table set at 60 degrees, every day. You can find good used ones, like Teeter brand, for cheap on marketplace. 2) A thick, lever weight lifting belt. When my back is acting up, I cinch that thing down and I can do hard work without my low back hindering me. Thanks for the video. I very much enjoy Tdto being in the videos. He's awesome!
I was going to suggest that, glad you did. Have you ever tried a tennis ball on the floor for massage therapy, a softball works even better but is more intense. Just put it a the base of the spine and wiggle it up working both sides of the spine. Works great!!
You might want to leave a few of those "wild lettuce " there and harvest them to make a tincture with, that and "Indian pipe" both are great for back injuries and nerve pain in general. Back in 2006 I slipped and fell off a swim platform of a boat that was on the travel lift about 7 feet off the ground when I was winterizing it and I landed back first one of the out drives I'd just pulled for servicing . I ended up cracking 2 vertebra, had a big Y shaped crack on my shoulder blade , broke 2 ribs and bruised 2 others and ended up crushing 5 nerves in my back, neck , elbow and under my shoulder blade , so I can relate to being all bunged up and having issues like yours. It took me > 2 1/2 years of physical therapy to get even half way right , and I was never really able to go back to work and still have good days and bad ones years later. It sucks ! The wild lettuce and Indian pipe tinctures have helped allot though and it let me get away from those stupid pain meds I was on for along time that I absolutely hated and that are not good for you at all to start with . It may be worth investigating and may be of help to you too, they have both worked pretty well for me. Way better that taking pain meds and being all goofy and spacey most of the time but then again , it may just have be a normal occurrence with me to start with,, so the jury is still out on that count! LOL!
Hubby is a Realtor who only works with buyers (exclusive buyers agent) and he explains to his clients that simply in an HOA you can’t hang your laundry out to dry, conserve energy and “save the environment” many demand you keep your grass green all summer (chemicals and copious amounts of water) sorry for the rant but it’s amazing how many home buyers don’t understand. Oh yeah and my city just banned gas leaf blowers 😳
Have you and Tito discussed having a hand pump well dug down at your parking area?. You could built a well house over it and during cold months a small propane heater to keep from freezing..Eventually you could run hose to water towers. It might save your backs as you get older. Just a thought..I am really enjoying learning about Kyper's breed and watching his progress. I really like the variety of thought in your videos. Thanks for decent entertainment!
He has talked about it in the past. He says the major problem is most of the land is covered in huge rocks underground making a well dig by hand really hard.
@@navycpo5168I think you may have misread. I asked if they thought about having a hand pump well dug. Not them doing it but having it dug...... The well people they got quotes from when they first moved there are capable. They could then built their well house etc. Hopefully that cleared up what I am asking them.
Build yourself a solar water heater. Not only you and occasional visitor will love it, but also a little (big) four legged best friend who will get into things will appreciate it. I'm looking forward to the future video where he gets into something stinky or learns that skunks don't play nice. (tomato paste, stock up now)
Thanks for the video Ryan ! Of course Kyper likes the tent. He'd probably like the outhouse too if you were in there. Speaking of the outhouse, why have viewers never seen where you do your business out at The Worm ? Please count my vote for a tour (or at least a description.) 86.1K
Alot of dogs eat grass. It helps to regulate the bile in their stomachs. Many people think that dogs are carnivores, but they are in fact omnivores. It's natural for them to eat grass and berries and that kind of vegetation.
I agree. There are other pod casts similar that the person has a dog and they don't devote the whole videos to the dog. Loved when he build and invented things but the last several episodes are basically a dog show.
yes I did watch the video and I heard his comment about his bad back. He has not done much except training the dog the last two months or so. That's fine but he has not said much about the kitchen build. I look forward to him getting back to building as that is why I watch his channel.
Soo cool having Tito around this much. Nothing remains to be proven with the chainsaw mill. Go get the HF band saw mill, it will make for great new content plus I know you and Tito will find some new methods of how to use. Find a spot with 4 to 6 trees in close to rectangular form and place the sawmill there. Use boards at 8' to connect the trees use pulleys to save that delicate back of yours.
As someone building an off grid place and being frustrated by deer flies as well, I will be paying close attention to your fly trap/ deterrence reaults.
Bobcat fer sure. Horse flies will just destroy the edges of your dog's ears! We used to use axel grease on the dog's ears to keep the flies off them. Please be aware of this danger to your dog. Look for a solution, as I'm guessing that axel grease isn't the right answer. It did work, though.
I love your content Your puppy is so cute I love watching you train him I’ve watched your videos since the beginning Don’t let the naysayers bring you down I love your content It’s the highlight of my Saturday morning as I drink my coffee Keep doing what you do I’ll always be interested especially now that you got your dream puppy I can’t believe you went this long with out a weed eater That would have been one of my first purchases Keep living the dream Your doing fantastic You be you Because I like your style and look at life Don’t let anyone change you You got it all Take care and pet your dog for me Don’t change a thing about your videos I look forward to seeing them every Saturday morning Love and god bless to you and yours
Hey Ryan, love your channel! Thank you for consistently making and putting great videos out, even when your in pain with a bad back. Kuiper is obviously very smart. However, I’d not use “Kuiper, Come!” command for following vehicles. I would recommend a new and specific command for following a moving vehicle: “Kuiper, FOLLOW.” Since you already have praised him and rewarded him every time he came to you and stopped at your feet when he first learned "Come", it would be confusing (and possibly dangerous) to use the same command for a totally different behavior, "To Follow", meaning to run behind a trailer or the four wheeler or whatever, for a random amount of time before the command is completed, and that will change how long it takes with every outing. But he's a genius and your a cool dad... you'll work it out!
For horseflies I use blue solo cups upside down on a trucker hat (melt several small holes and use twist ties to attach) and use fly trap glue on it. It works like a charm! Have a second solo cup as a sheath for when not in use. They are attracted to blue and often land on the top of your head.
I’m with you why not use modern amenities, solar, power tools, bug spray, propane heaters & stove. Keeping the grass down helps keep your property safe. Something’s better than nothing.
I use a 9ah battery for my string trimmer which works pretty well allowing me to do my whole 0.5 acre yard no problem with my Dewalt trimmer. Note: When learning to use your new trimmer, it is important to learn which side of the trimmer to use which throws the least material back into your body/face..lol.
If the ears have pointy fur, it’s a Lynx. If not, it’s a bobcat. There are differences in markings but I’d about have to have them side by side in color, stationary, to tell.
That is a Bobcat. I've seen quite a few here in SE Florida. Your Bernese puppy is really growing, we viewers probably notice it more than anyone who is around him daily as we only see him once a week.
My son invested in Ryobi 18v tools. I have been a DeWalt man for years. I've got a full line of DeWalt 20v tools. The power difference between the two is obvious. I think he's about ready to sell all his Ryobi stuff and come to the DeWalt side of the Force. 😆
Well Ringworm we have been watching you since day one of your channel but I’m sorry to tell you that it is time for us to unsubscribe for a while. Hopefully we will be back as soon as your whole puppy phase is over. We have really enjoyed watching your journey and all the cool stuff you have done but we can only take so much puppy this puppy that. We are not dog haters but if we wanted to watch dog content I would be subscribed so a dog content channel good luck and been fun watching
Be aware that you will probably find the crows will flock to the bones. They are naturally curious and also love to take souvenirs. Pretty soon even the sky deck will be too low for the pup to reach!🤔 Cheers🍻
I just figured you already had a trimmer. I use one on my camp from time to time. We get some crazy weeds and vines in the spring. And it helps out when I want to clear out an area to use.
Porcupine quills are amazing things! I taught myself to do porcupine quillwork - Native American style decoration of clothing and such. Once a quill is moistened, it is very pliable and strong. Porcupines are very cool animals, but in danger of extinction due to people killing them because of their dogs getting into them. Thanks for the fun videos! Keep it up!
I have a camp. In the upper peninsula In Tilden township. Of course. My dad laughs at me all the time. Because I bring my weed Wacker and I have a Riding. lawn mower at camp so twice a year. I take a 500 mile ride to mow the lawn! Greatest therapy on the planet.
You should get some pavers and put in a few garden paths, plant a bit of grass then you'll be looking at ride on mowers within a few years I reckon. Nah just kidding but you could plant some blueberries. I just love blueberries, and whipper snippers (line trimmers, weed whackers).
It’s great that you got a puppy. I’m very happy for you. I’m a dog person myself. Love those critters and the companionship they bring. But if I’m honest, I watch this channel for the cool builds that you do. I’m interested in seeing you finish the kitchen, or maybe you can do some videos of helping Tito complete his cabin? Like I said, love the puppy. Just hoping to see more of the big builds. Keep on keeping on bro.
You are kinda living a “NO RULES but your own” existence. You likely follow legal rules when you leave but on your own land you get to decide how you live. Most of us live similarly in our homes . You just have a lot bigger walls! You get to access all we do as you pick and choose! Just because you share part of your life on u tube does not give any of us the right to tell you how to live ANY PART of yours! I love how Kyper has exploded your world from project focused to what is he doing now then project focused! No surprise he loves sleeping in the tent .. good luck get him sleeping in a more enclosed space where he can’t see you again!
Considering how much ground water you have in your woods, why not drill or dig a water well. Over time it may behoove you to establish a reliable ground water supply that does not rely on 5 gallon buckets of pond or lake water. There are dozens if not hundreds of YT videos on the interweb they could educate you in the various processes. (. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RJKx2Dj39-w.htmlsi=CqSCPSsV7SbKds3F ). It would be interesting if you were able to locate a water supply near the sky-deck. With a solar panel or two and a deck mounted IBC tote you could create your own local gravity fed water system. Even a hand powered pitcher pump could offer an opportunity. Wishing you and your furry kid another great week. Looking forward to seeing Ruby’s reaction to your kid. Cheers
Why don't you do this? You got endless supply of wood out there. Taking bilgia wooden box that you can slide them both in with phone or with 2 inches of foam around it. Maybe even 4 inches of home on the inside of it. It's slide you your water containe There and then you can keep them out. Even in the wintertime filled up
God you got an air mattress ur gonna be in trouble watch Mathew Posa videos with Monte and Ruger two large Colliie dogs it will crack you up all the air mattreses them dogs ruined not from biting but their paws slash claws its funny but maybe you can make a strong slip cover for ur air mattress I duno good luck or get a small futon bedroll or thick foam rubber. n dogs like to chew on everything oh yeah shoes sox any thing and role in the stinkiest thing they can find dead fish dead animals its their nature and that getting them to come or say no no no keeping them away from porky pines and skunks snakes n other small wild critters like on walks n things thats when you will appreciate your efforts of training your dog to come or fetch or even hand signals.
God y0u might get into gardening but then you also have to fence it in I tried it on a horse ranch not a good idea but Im not good at gardening either. In times past everybody had a garden what you might do is plant rasberries or black berries but they really take over or try an apple tree but them deer will have a hay day nah cuz then you gotta water things maybe build you a small pond dogs love water might get a kiddie pool for dog to have access to water any time hes gonna be huge might seriously have to add on to your cabin. Maybe for ur back Id find a cheap inversuion table walmart has some cheap ones or build one like say a situp board as that would help your back to doing situps oh yeah or make an obsticle course I know thats like a guy thing kind of a kid thing to or a trampoline just bouncing around is really good exercise recommended by chiropractors cuz it firms up your whole body.
Commercial lawn mower here a tip for the weed wackier is you can take the razor blade out or switch it backwards so it doesn’t cut and waste string then you don’t gotta move so much and have much longer string
Interrupt the lifecycle of the flies. Put some food waste in a bucket with the lid slightly open for flies to land and lay eggs. Then close the lid and leave it in the sun for 3 days to kill all the eggs, then repeat. Maybe you could use small containers that you put up at night so as not to attract animals.
I love watching these videos every week, they are so theraputic to normal life. ryan i have no idea about this but is it worth building birds nests etc to encourage more nesting and bird spotting near your home? sure would be cool. have a great week everyone
I used to take my golden on quad then got 2 more so I built a box on rear rack they loved it my oldest refused to walk after that he’d sit down and wait to be picked up lol😅
