He is patient and under control. Sometimes I feel like Edey is out of control and just kinda chucks the ball at the rim. He needs to learn to have the same patience and control that Williams has, and he will be unstoppable!

And that is the scary part. Now Trev is graduating so I expect him to go pro. I wish that Ivy would stick around and graduate too. But he is so good that the Pro is already knocking on his door and throwing the money around. The only hope is for his mom to talk him into staying and getting a degree. Remember what happened to Carson Edwards. He's playing in the G league and could be going with Ivy and Edy and the rest for a national title this year if he had stayed at Purdue instead of going to Boston. He didn't play much at the Pro level.

Now or never for Purdue. They're in full command of this region and a major reason why the Big 10 hasn't been an absolute failure so far outside of Michigan. If they can play this type of defense down the road and have Stefanovic find his shot, I have no doubts they have what it takes to make it even further

Sasha threw the ball way too many times. A missed shot is a turnover. He can't even hit the rim at times now. He is a senior and should be playing better. He should be in the gym for hours every day playing hard and practicing his shot.

My three sons and I were in Louisville three years ago when our Boilers were going to the FF, until they weren't. Hope to avoid that disappointment again. In spite of what happened, it was the best experience as a fan I've ever had. BOILER UP!!

Texas doesn't have the size to compete with Purdue down low. They kept grabbing and hacking us all game. There were several intentional fouls down the stretch when Texas was trying to get back in it. Texas kept hitting our shooting arms on the shot those are always easy calls and bad mistakes from the Longhorns. If anything, they missed a lot of calls on Texas

Still seeing like of griping about Texas getting so many fouls. They could have had a few more but the Refs were nice to Texas. A couple times Texas players were hanging off of Zack Edey's arms like they were a Jungle Gym or Monkee bars at a kids playground, but the refs allowed it. It was pure B.S.!!

Yes, and Chris Beard saying they weren't "cry babies" around there or anything was a subtle shot toward the officiating. How about instead of taking iso one on one jump shots all night, you take it to the rim? Maybe they would have gotten more foul calls. It wasn't the officiating but how Texas decided to play Purdue that resulted in the free throw disparity. Purdue took it to the rim often and never let up. Texas' game plan backfired and they just have to deal with that. They foul a lot anyway with how aggressive they play defense. I thought the officiating was pretty fair. They could have got called for more fouls actually.

I think the Longhorns were hornswoggled when they poached Beard from Tech. They should have gotten Adams. Adams beat the Longhorns twice, swept Baylor, beat Kansas once, all with a new squad and scheme. Longhorns bragged about all the 5 star recruits and already assumed they were the champs.

Can Purdue end the jinx/curse this year? They get to the Sweet 16 quite a bit and one Elite Eight a few years back but can't seem to go the extra mile. Been watching Purdue since the Glenn "Big Dog" Robinson days, which means most of you were not yet even a gleam in the eye of your parents when I started watching them. And I'm really tired of no Final Fours, no runner-up champs or champs.

I was a kid watching basketball during the Big Dog days, but not a Purdue fan yet. Didn't become a Purdue fan until I was accepted to attend. But even in this time, we've had several teams that I felt had the potential to be Final Four teams and have come up short, and/or been unlucky with injuries (Hummel, Haas). Really hoping we can finally make it happen this year. And not just make it, but win it all. It would be an amazing thing for a school that's never included in the national conversation.

@@huntstyle True words, Hummel and Haas both could have made the difference both tourneys. I was alive and living only 35 miles from Purdue in 1969 when Rick Mount got us to the final championship game against UCLA (but lost). But at that time I could not care less about basketball. I was just a tween kid trying to figure out if I should still play with toy dinosaurs or girls. The dinos won out for a couple more years.

TTU got the win...Texas didn't....Beard got beat by Adams twice...UT was ranked in the top 5 preseason. Texas Tech wasn't even given a rank....clearly the better coach stayed in Lubbock....

when u have a dude that’s 7’4 and the most athletic slashing guard in the country, you’re going to draw fouls. most teams don’t have a matchup for this, so expect to see a lot more free throws from purdue.

Texas strategy was to foul rather than give up dunks and layups. Almost worked because Purdue can't hit free throws

In short, Texas cannot stop Purdue's bigs at all. They had to foul to prevent them from scoring. If the refs called every Texas foul, Purdue could've shot 60 FTs.

@@gusmc01 not that is true for Edy and Williams sometimes. Not always and the rest of the team can shoot the eyes out of the basket when shooting free throws. Don't foul Sausha.

Im not sure why they went to that replay with 115 left. I mean it was 40 fta to 11 fta at the time. They already knew they were giving purdue the ball. But hey the kid made a clutch 3 after that so congrats to the big ten on going 1 and 4 yesterday as they literally lost the first 4 games of the day. Maybe they should of let nebraska in. They won a few as the end of the year.

@@georgejohnson8674 it is because Purdue had an inside presence. Texas shot from the perimeter the whole. game. Edey was fouled a bunch and a lot of free throws came at the end of the game when teams foul even though they will lose. Refs weren’t perfect but Purdue definitely deserved many of the free throws

How is Texas going to draw fouls when they only shoot jumpers the whole game. Purdue lived in the paint and Texas couldn’t defend without making excessive contact. The refs weren’t amazing but Purdue deserved at least 35-40 of those free throws.

Amount of people saying all those are fouls and saying he’s getting hacked it’s not because none of that shi getting called in the nba wish college was treated the same way but na playing physical defense is a foul cause Purdue plays soft af
