Whoever thought up the idea for this video for Josh and Lindsey...multiple gold and platinum stars! Such a fitting song along with Muppet brilliance! Great job!
Being funny is not everyone's first choice. But this funny mix really seemed to gel for the pure imagination of people like me. May your talents lift you to greater heights, Lindsey & Josh!
TheCarlosGamer36, I have to agree with you on that. I tried to like the new one. I just couldn't. Heard they are talking of a prequel of sorts. They got GW's blessing on that. I wonder who would play Wonka? Couldn't be the same though.
Ellen Skipper “How did you like the chocolate factory, Charlie?” “I think it’s the most wonderful place in the whole world!” “I’m glad to hear that. Because I’m giving it to you.” “You’re giving Charlie...” “I can’t go on forever. And I don’t even want to try. So, who can I trust to run the factory when I leave and take care of the Oompa-Loompas? Not a grownup. A grownup would want to do everything his own way, not mine. That’s why a long time ago, I had to find a child. A very honest, loving child to share all my most precious candy-making secrets with.” “And that’s why you sent out the Golden Tickets!” “That’s right! So the factory’s yours, Charlie! Bring the whole family! You can all move in immediately. But, Charlie? Don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted.” “What happened?” “He lived happily ever after.”
Really pulled at the heartstrings listening to the song. First heard Lindsey in Skyrim all those years ago and she has just got better. As far as Josh is concerned, that was about the best magical rendition of Pure Imagination I have heard and that includes the original. Wonderful and moving. :)
That Gamer Girl Akane I think it's because technically they don't own the song, it's just a cover. Most platforms like iTunes, Spotify and Tidal don't usually put covers on their platform because if the artist is making money off of a song that isn't originally theirs...that could look bad. I too have been waiting forever and a day for this to be on Tidal.
@@MegaZeo They may have gotten permission. Not all covers are created equal. This song is technically not public domain yet. To avoid copyright laws you can put stuff like this on RU-vid but if you wanted it on a streaming platform you'd have to go through a label of some sort to post anything on those platforms, and you have to get permission from the people who own the song.
I've been a huge fan of the muppets since I was a little girl. Lindsey is so talented honestly I'm super proud of her. She deserves all the fame she's gotten. She's too good at what she does!
My grandmother loves the Muppets and especially Miss Piggy. She also fell in love with you Lindsey; she loves how you play and dance. So it was a great pleasure to show this video to her. Her face just lit up. Just too much joy... :)
Dear Lindsey, Love your performance with Josh and The Muppets. You are so great. Josh's voice, cute Muppet antics, and your beautiful violin and dancing are the greatest. Loved the Muppets since childhood. Your videos inspire me to keep practicing my violin. Love, JaniceTeruko💟
Thanks Lindsey and Josh. Really wish Jim was still around for this, as this particular song was kind of a perfect tribute to the muppets and his legacy.
TheXBladeist I Love Lindsey's music and dancing! BUT I also love Máiréad Nesbitt (Celtic Woman) and her dancing. The first time I saw it, I couldn't believe you could do both. Now I would like to see a DUET of BOTH of them - a dream of dreams! Lindsey?
They brought back the classic Muppets in this video. The Muppet Show of the 70's and 80's was fun for the whole family. The "new" Muppets is more for adults. Will the kids get the jokes or even like the show? Will it last out the first season? We will see.
You know, I know of another America's Got Talent contestant who also worked with Kermit. Terry Fator. He won, and despite what they said I think that this is a sign you've won too Lindsey. It's silly to say that working with Kermit is a sign of success, but I mean look how long it took Josh Groban to get here! Anyways Always looking out for more of your works. Glad I finally got around to looking at RU-vid because the fact that my favorite singer, my favorite violinist, and then two happy parts of my childhood have come together like this... I'm smiling in a way I haven't since my father died in May. This is something I needed. Thank you all involved for bringing some joy to a much needed year.
Josh's voice is like the warm runny bit of melted honey in your tea. He adds that flavour and warmth to the drink. The drink is the song and Josh is the honey.
Wow I missed that but I had to look it up 'cause it's one of my favorite songs at the moment, and I have to admit: It sounded even better with you ***** !! Great job!!!
Take Walker I was just saying the same thing. They don't "take youtube". it seems like the muppets aren't as popular by themselves anymore so they`ve decided to take a little snippets of fame and recognition from youtubers that are hugely popular. The muppets are trying to get new fans from the fans of those popular youtubers.
Take Walker They've also collabed with Mental Floss, Barely Political, Vsauce3. I think they are promoting their own RU-vid channel or possibly a new TV show or movie (I'm not sure).
I think another good Statler and Waldorf joke could have been : "I've always liked that song" "Oh yea? What's your favorite part?" "The End!" "D'OH HO HO HO HO!"
Rest In Peace Gene Wilder May his pure imagination spread through millions others and to inspire others and more generations. Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka would be impressed that the muppets was singing, his song for millions of generations to come.
I heard this when I was really high. When the violin came in tears shot right to my eyes. I had never experienced such a whimsical and pleasant feeling before.
I just love Josh's Grobin! I love his voice. This is the first time that I ever saw Lindsey Stirling do anything since DWTS. She is good too. Those poor Muppets, they do have a terrible time sometimes! I loved the whole video.
Lindsey violin dueling with Miss Piggy is a thing I didn't know I was missing in my life, and now that I've seen it I don't know how I made it this long with out it.
This was good. In fact this was almost to the same level of quality as the old Muppet Show, which is something Disney normally doesn't pull off that well. Revive The Muppet Show and put Lindsey on there!
I'm gonna get flack for this but... Lindsey gets creamed and the first thing Kermit does is turn to her and ask "how does it taste?" I laughed immaturely
Hi Lindsey! Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEAAASEEE do the song kingdom dance from Tangled? It would be so freakin awesome to see you dancing around to that dressed up as Rapunzel pleaaase I would die if you did this
I just watched your concert in Vancouver! Dragon Age Inquisition! Assassin's Creed, Skyrim! and finally Phantom of the Opera ! Fantastic! Magnificient!Splendid!.Thank you for your great performance!!
I grew up watching the "greats" on the Muppet Show. My kids grew up watching the VHS copies. I am so happy for Josh Groban and our Lindsey Stirling to have this experience! (BTW, you know would also be great on the Muppet Show? Peter Hollens - - because we suspect he's part muppet anyway....) And, yes, I now believe that my son is officially jealous of Kermit.
First Josh Groban does Notre Dame de Paris and Phantom of the Opera on one album. Now Josh Groban and Lindsey Stirling are in one video?! I AM IN MUSICAL HEAVEN THIS YEAR!! :-D
