THIS VIDEO IS ABOUT SOUND, ENJOYING THE RIDE, AND HAVING FUN, NOT SPEED* ENJOY WITH HEADPHONES AND IN HD :) 2019 MV Agusta Brutale 800 with FM Projects exhaust. Earplugs are a must with it.
Got my 675 brutale in december braught it straight to the garage to work on it and on saturday i can finaly ride it. I'm so fucking exited! Update: It is awesome!
Haha I can’t say this is the best “beginner” bike, but definitely something to look forward too! Make sure you got your fundamental skills down first! I started on a Yamaha R3
Cars, motorcycles…Italians sure know how to make an exhaust note. Love my Moto Guzzi, sounds like a small block Chevy. The Agusta sounds absolutely wicked! Is that the stock exhaust on it? Nice color too, I’ve never seen that blue before
They sure do. This exhaust is aftermarket, FM Projects. The stock exhaust has a great look to it, but as with stock exhausts, dulls the true sound of the engine. The blue was only released in Europe in 2019, I was lucky enough to get one to the States. Cheers
Deciding between one of these, a Fresco, or SC Project for my Dragster but this video is pretty damn convincing. Thoughts on doing a re-map for a full system? Not sure it would need it.
This almost has too much snap, crackle and pop for me. Sounds like it will get annoying. Wonder what year this is, and if it's an RR or not. Beautiful color. I'm picking up a new 18 here shortly.
I haven’t heard a Fresco, I’ll have to check it out. If you do a full system I think you will have to do a re-map but I’m not 100% sure. I love the way the FM looked and sounds. It sounds amazing but it is a lot though haha.
@@onlyfoolriding8223 Base Brutale 800, 2019 model. There is a lot of pops on the decel, it does get to be a bit much sometimes. I normally always wear earplugs though. I do think it would sound sweeter if there weren’t so many, but I can’t get enough when it spits right after a hard acceleration or hard downshift. The rest I handle by pulling the clutch in most of the time when I can lol
I bought them from an EBay shop from Italy. The side is branded with the word, “Viper” and I believe they are from a brand called FAR, but I could be mistaken. Visibility is amazing, at the right angle you can see everything behind you in basically one mirror. At high speeds they do tend to vibrate a bit but I may also need to tighten them a bit. As far as bar end mirrors go, these were a good price, I believe 170 for the pair, they are highly functional, and look good :)
Thank you. No, the color is stock from the 2019 model. Although, it was only available in Europe. I had to have one special ordered here to the states.
Very nice! They are branded with “Viper” on the side of them, but I believe they are made by a factory in Italy called, “FAR” if I remember correctly. I ordered them from an Italian EBay store.
Hello! These are bar end mirrors from a company called FAR. They are based in Italy and I think the mirrors even come from the same factory as the original dragster mirrors. I bought them from an Italian EBay store a little while back
I have a buffer on the outside of my GoPro. Its basically a piece of foam that fits around it and covers the mic, so less wind hits it, and only more prominent noises are heard. I got a two pack of them on Amazon for like $14 or something haha
@@red.s1k For as simple and cheap as it is, it made a huuuge difference. I was actually mad that there was so much wind noise with the Hero 8 but this works well so I can’t complain.
I ordered from a shop in California, I told them I had a 2019 and this is what they sent me. I'm not sure exactly what model years it fits but at the time, it was 2016+
@@goozlo Honestly, it’s pretty damn loud lol. I haven’t heard the SC Projects in person. Initially I thought it may be too loud, but I’ve gotten used to it and I love the sound. The only thing I don’t like, is that there is so much backfire on the decel, like it’s almost always popping haha. I love the pops, but it’s running a bit rich. Although, that can be taken care of when you get it tuned, which I will be doing when my factory warranty ends.
@@coldsalami is it legal loud for street use? Can you pass inspection with it? (MOT in UK) I love the looks, it's by far the best looking , but I am afraid that it might not be suitable for normal use since the is no option for db killer
@@goozlo I’m not sure to be completely honest. I’m over in the USA and I haven’t had a problem with it. I’ve taken it in to get serviced under the warranty and they didn’t say anything about it. I’m really not sure about the UK though. You could always swap out the stock exhaust when you go for inspection, which is annoying but it’s not too much of a process to install/uninstall. I’ve done that a few times.
@@coldsalami Sweet! Thanks bro! Got a 19 dragster. Gonna start uploading. Tough getting all the settings right. Testing chest mount right now, but even with superview, not loving it.
@@onlyfoolriding8223 ooooo congrats man! That’s so sick. I’m no expert on cameras I wish I could help more haha but some reading online and experimenting it will come. I’ll check it out when you do!
@@onlyfoolriding8223 Really appreciate it! I fell in love with this color, originally a European only, I had to have it specially ordered to get one in the states. Regardless what color your dragster is I know it’s gorgeous hahaha
@@Championedd Thanks man! I was told this was the second one in this color to come to the states. So if you see it on the road, it’s probably me hahaha
@@coldsalami That's incredibly rare, maybe maybe at an MV event or something haha. I have a 2013 F4RR and a 2020 Brutale 800 RC so if you see either in San Diego, there's a good chance its me
Hi! Received my 800RR today. "Out of the box" the sound is... - Well... - Hmmm... - Maybe OK. Is there any chance to get the FM Projects Exhaust somehow "road legal" in the EU? 1000(+) THNX for the info... :D
Hi! First off, congrats! What a great day hahaha happy for you. Yes, the stock exhaust really baffles the beautiful sound this in-line 3 produces. Although in my opinion still sounds good, it’s pretty quiet and toned down. Unfortunately I don’t know much about the EU regulations and laws where you are. I live in the US and even over here I believe it’s a bit of a grey area. Although myself, along with everyone I know hasn’t had trouble with police with aftermarket exhausts. There are other exhaust options that aren’t quite as loud as this one haha maybe check out all the options and see. I really hope it all works out and let me know how it goes! I’d say enjoy the bike but I know you will 😂
@@coldsalami To me the bike is 1000% of the scale. I think "even without any sound skills" it rules. BUT: Next saison it has to compete with my 701 Vitpilen and it "needs to demonstrate" if it's so "c**l"... :D Have a lot of fun - AND: stay healthy... MfL der Eratosthenes P.S.: By the way... You have the ignorant "sound checkers", but I'll have the "Nürburgring Nordschleife". My bike will see the Ring early next saison... :D *smile
I did look at the FM for my Dragster. Yours definitely has more pops and crackles on the downshifts but the SC Project I ended up buying seems to scream more and a bit deeper. So it is down to personal preference I guess. Either way, sounds great! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FmsUUY-aAjA.html
For sure! I was heavily looking at the SC Project as well and one of the deciding factors was the looks to be honest haha. The iconic 3 pipe exhuast on MV's I just love, and the FM is gorgeous with the carbon fibre heat shield. SC definitely sounds amazing!
@@coldsalami Yeah, I did not want to lose the 3 pipe look as it is a main part of the brand but it was the one that came with the bike in a deal. However, since then I do love the way it looks so small and it is sooo light. Ade
