I’m all for marrying younger! Yeah! Both be committed believers, enjoy one another, and have kids. I heard a pastor say- do the one thing the culture says you shouldn’t do now. Which is be a normal man who marries a normal woman and raises normal kids
I’ve been wanting to comment for awhile but I use my tv to watch RU-vid so it’s been a matter of logging into my account once again on my phone. I used to watch blimey cow back in it’s prime in my high school days but kinda stopped when I went to college. As I grew older I felt like I had outgrown the dating messyges and Christian memes. They’re great just not really for me anymore. Back in October I had my first kid and ended up bedridden for awhile. I watched a lot of RU-vid during this time. I was so happy to search this channel and see that you were doing a podcast. As someone who’s enjoys the channel because of your personalities and morals I loved to be able to watch/listen to it. I think you guys are great and have view points I just don’t hear a lot about on social media, so it’s really refreshing. As a mom it’s cool to be able to relate to what you both are also going through as Christian parents. As a viewer I love to see the change and growth of the channel. Especially as it coincides with your lives as well. (Not to throw other RU-vidrs under the bus but there are some who are in there thirties still trying to cater to a high school audience and it’s…not great) thanks for what you do and the community you are creating here.
On the Messyage - this may be a hot take or unpopular opinion, but the more I read the scriptures, the more I strongly feel that the two become one when they do the deed. It's not about a ceremony or a government saying, "Okay, you're married now because you signed a paper."
While there is a decent argument for this to be true (not quite sure I agree with it, but I at least acknowledge the reasoning), both the ceremony and the government paper are also important. The ceremony makes it a public commitment. There are lots of people who "do the deed," but feel no pressure to be committed. A public ceremony makes it clear "everyone knows that I am committing to you, and everyone will know if I don't keep my commitment." It's the same reason that baptism is important--it makes a statement of "this is who I am and this is where I stand." As for the government paper, it is true that you will not find any verse in the Bible that tells you to fill out a marriage license. What you WILL find in numerous places is "let everyone be subject to the governing authorities." Just because the Bible doesn't specifically call for it doesn't mean that we get to just ignore the fact that the government calls for it. (We can certainly try to change the laws so that licenses are no longer required, but while they are required, we can't just ignore them.)

To the couple that is having sex and now that they are trying to not do so are struggling. . .just get married. Seriously. Do it. You'll be okay. You were mature enough to think you should have sex so be mature enough to put a ring on it. Don't let guilt eat you up. I got married 20 years ago at 20 and it was a great thing. Just work on focusing on Christ always. Happy birthday Isaac!! Wow. That went fast. My baby just turned 1 yesterday but we have our 17 and 15 year olds to make us feel like, "What??!? You're going to be an adult in less than a year already!??"

The interesting thing to me about the messyge is them saying it would be Terrible to start a relationship based on the desires. Like. No actually desires are how most relationships start. You are supposed to be attracted to each other and enjoy being intimate with each other. If you’re a Christian, sure, wait til marriage for certain things but like. You’re supposed to want that stuff!!! If both of you want it, that’s a very good thing !!!
Corridor crew are true old school RU-vid guys! I’ve never followed them super closely but I know a lot of them worked on old FreddieW / RocketJump shorts back in the day. VFX intensive stuff. Which is why they’re good at identifying things like the stock footage in the plane video.
I love kids, I’m an auntie, I’m the “fun auntie”. Even friends kids I adore and get on the ground and have trouble concentrating on the adult conversation because the kids are so cute and fun, BUT, I don’t want any of my own, I never have even as a kid playing house. It’s kinda a blessing because if I was to have kids because of my many chronic illnesses, and the deformities in my body, I would not survive the pregnancy . That being said I am pro life, Jesus sacrificed his life for us, and so many parents of kids who are out of the womb would willingly sacrifice their lives for their kids, why not do everything you could to give your little one who is still IN the womb a chance at life even at the expense of your own. I say this but I know when it comes right down to it, in the moment, you don’t always know what you will do until the time comes. I hope I’d have the courage to do what I needed to give my baby a chance at life. This is NOT to say that every disabled or chronically ill person shouldn’t have kids. Many disabled people are successful and wonderfully capable parents, I just wouldn’t be.
Hello! I'm an old fan who didn't even have a yt account until recently. I just subscribed to this channel, and plan to subscribe to all of y'all's other channels. On a different note, I believe that marrying young is good, especially for women. Men, on the other hand, should be ready to support her first.
Well, the Bible does say that even if you think about being with another woman. You’ve already sinned. So basically there is no such thing as “purity” culture.
As I understand, the most literal translation is "lustful intent", implying an intention or willingness to have sex with the person. It seems to be more than merely thinking about it.
You really nailed it in that Messyge.. how desire and our natural God given instincts are lumped together with lust. I never learned a distinction between the two, and I got so good at avoiding that type of “sin” to the point that it has broken me. I’ve been married 6 months and I’m still a virgin because I can’t bring myself to do it. It’s been the most elaborate and solutionless self sabotage in all of history as I know it.
The central problem with purity culture is that it tries to pursue chastity and false unrealisitc promises from fear rather then from love of self, neighbour and most importantly God. The Root of Chastity is love not fear.
I'm 35 and haven't been able to find a better job to afford to travel elsewhere to meet any singles who belong to my denomination (I don't want to be unequally yoked and there are no singles in my area from my denomination) and I'm not going to have kids outside the context of marriage (I'm still a virgin)
Separate comment, but have you considered simulcasting on Rumble or another video platform? It could just be a backup, in case a particular episode gets disappeared.
They emailed us the other day to ask if we would put the podcast on there. There used to be a feature we used where RU-vid videos would automatically upload to rumble but RU-vid shut that down. We might start uploading there though!

I mean, if your watching what they are doing you might learn something too. Honestly a great way to learn is by helping a handy man. A lot if them are getting older and cant do it all themselves and just need a good worker that is willing to learn.

Baba is You is one that I was going through when Josh was talking about puzzle games for We Recommend. I have it that I won't look up the solution to any puzzles until I solve the game, but now I also had to put it down bc it started to make my brain melt a little bit.
We didn't want kids for 6 years. Then one day we did, and after having a miscarriage, we tried again and got a son. Now we're thinking of having a second one.
I don't understand why people think it's bad to marry someone because you want to Do The Do with him/her. Everybody around me has said that desire is essential to getting married.
I think where it can be dangerous is when people use that desire as the main factor of the decision of whether or not to marry someone. Their lust leads the way, and they end up marrying someone who they don’t actually enjoy being with or get along with. Especially when it’s younger or less mature people involved.
@@KT28818 Perhaps, though I haven't seen that as a problem of today. I see people letting lust rule by consuming porn or living with someone/multiple people to get what they want with no commitment, rather than controling their sexual desire to be fulfilled within the bonds of marriage. Sexual desire is not lust. I think it only becomes lust when you seek after unbiblical ways to satify the desire.
