Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded Aggro/Combo (by Max), Hapatra Stax (Luís's brew), Titania Aggro (Gonçalo's brew), Fblthp combo (TronBonne's brew)
❂ This week we have a special guest: Gonçalo Tiago, level 1 Judge from our LGS. He brought his favourite deck Titania, Protector of Argoth.
❂ Sequeira is piloting a list of Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded contributed by our Patron Max.
❂ Luís Brandão put up together a staxy/combo list of Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons.
❂ And Baal wanted to try out a list he found out (from TronBonne) of Fblthp which combos out with Proteus Staff.

Gonçalo, here. I was thrilled to be invited to play on the channel! After viewing this video I noticed I made an illegal play on turn 11 [time stamp - 17:59]. I attacked Baal with the the 3/3 Lizard Token while having a Glacial Chasm on the board. No bueno! Serves to prove even judges make mistakes.

@@Nailgraizer It's a great deck but I feel like I didn't really got to show how explosive the deck can get. It's fun to play and with the right tweaks it can punish a combo meta, especially if you go full Aggro/Stax. I'll try to get it on camera on another run, if they'll have me.

Awesome video. Great gameplay and I really love how you describe in detail everything that is happening. It makes it easy to follow along to such complex interactions. Also all of the different names you gave Fblthp had me cracking up!

Gotta be honest, I had a small paper by my side to remember some combo lines, but then when I drew Intuition I had to figure out something different! And I'm glad I got it to shine! :)

@@itsTronBonne yea, I had Probe in hand, so I knew i could draw 1 of the artifacts that would be thrown to the GY, and since I couldn't just go in with staff since most of the stuff was in the GY, I came up with that, had he given me High tide I could go grab shredder into basalt, had he given me basalt I'd go infinite then grab shredder. :) PS. I was rly not impressed with shredder in most lists, but after that I'm sold! xD

Titania actually seems decent. Being able to drop a lethal board at a moments notice is brutal. Also, the play with Tactics was incredible! That would have been the perfect blowout had it not been for blue.

It's hard to win a lot, in 4 player pods. Way different than 1v1, so if you win 1 out of 4, that is usually a "good metric" :) watch some more games and you'll see him win for sure! ^ ^

Does Fblthp's "from library" clause have any relevance in that deck? Or it is just being played as a cheap blue commander that draws a card?

The whole list revolves around the Proteus Staff + Fblthp combo. Although I didn't combo with it, the main lines of the deck revolve around getting the staff out and using it on Fblthp, which will enable you to order your whole library if you'd be able to, although you'll be mostly ordering the top 5 cards to win on the spot, and making it so that he comes from the deck and you draw 2 cards from it is a must. I advise you to read TronBonne's primer to better understand! ;)

hey i might be wrong but since baal draw his entire deck with gitaxian probe shouldnt he loose the game when casting scoobydoo the lost with no cards in his deck to draw ?

We shortcut'ed the explanation. He would cast nexus of fate first, so it would be the top card of the deck and then would cast scooby :) From there he would have infinite turns for scooby to slowly bark at his opponents for commander damage xD

I thought once you use mirage copy as of another target it loses its copy ability.. So, you can use it to copy other permanent again... interesting 🤔

It does, but if you hold priority and activate it another time before the first activation resolves, then you end up with 2 abilities to copy on the stack, and then will resolve one at a time. After leting one resolve the Mirror will become the copy of what you've chosen, but then there's another copy ability on the stack waiting to resolve, that will make the Mirror into the other target you've chosen earlier. This way you can interact between the resolution of the copies ;)

baal loses here. He drew his whole deck and then played his commander who has a non may draw ability.... I mean he could just not play him but he did, sooooooooo.

We shortcut as we explain the combo, he can play Abes first then draw his deck, or he can draw his entire deck, cast nexus of fate and then cast Abes. ;)
