One big important note: most of the cards in the archetype _don't have any once-per-turn, neither soft nor hard._ (a few do, but most don't) So I assume Overlay Network would work rather well with them, with its second effect, to let you re-use the quick-plays more than once in a turn. Kinka-byo can be great for reviving the base level 1 Purery, and One for One and Where Arf Thou can search it up. Since the main reason I really like Exosisters is thanks to their unique XYZ summoning, I think I'll also really like this archetype.
And If I'm reading this correctly... The attack increasing effects from multiple copies of Delicious Memory stack WITH EACH OTHER. Which means that 2 Copies under a monster get you 600 Atk and Def for each material they have, and 3 copies get you 900 for each.... Which means in ideal conditions, Expurery Happiness comes out to a minimum of 7000 ATK!!!
As a pure melffy player I accept this challange and I am glad melffy and purrely arctypes are no where near close strategy so I can make them both as a seperate decks
I get people see eevee, but Purey reminds me of digimon where depending on how you raise it it can digivolve to greater heights or Dedigivolve to start over. The old flavor text also mentions this.
What a time to be alive. We have Yugioh ripping off Pokemon with Purery a.k.a the Eevee archetype, and Pokemon ripping off Yugioh with Scarlet and Violet a.k.a "Pokemon 5ds"
purery and melffy are amazing, and its odd how many things they have in common -cute and fluffy -Konami Needs To Make Plushies Of Them -my favorite archetype -deserves all the love in the world also the field spell gave me a heart attack, i thought it was gonna have a runick fountain effect
I love how these quick plays modify the xyz monster *after* summon, which is unique to this series, since every other only modifies upon summon. Its definitely fun, if not currently pretty linear
Ooh, this archetype's got a really fun little playstyle going on, and the potential for absurd attack meshed with multiple attacks and hefty effect damage is wild, not to mention the touch of resource denial going on in there too. Hoping for more support down the line, would love to see what else they could be made to do. (oh gods oh gods it's so cute and sweet I'm gonna cry)
This archetype design alone could be a whole card games theme. I hope we see more archetypes like it. Would be cool. Too see a Purery vs Mixie matchup or something to that effect. 🤔
The only gripe with this archetype, is there is little to no recycleability. Meaning if you've been stacking your Purrey XYZ's (like you should) once something happens to them, those material are lost and are very hard to get back (Edit) Sleepy memory is free real estate for drawing a card during your opponents stand by phase, and Purrely Lily can utilize the memories from the grave to now keep you in the game. This archetype is bonkers and i am all here for it
Don't think for a second that nobody noticed what you did at 8:25. Playing music from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist of the Rose's while explaining Delicious memories. 10/10 video.
Not gonna lie, when I saw Purery I was hyped it's going to work well with Melffy. But then I saw the Main Deck monster is Level 1 and there's no real way to synergize both of them.
I actually have them synergize, mostly monsters and traps, it helps with getting a nice juke pull, making them think it purrely trap but then they get set back by alot
Ohh I can see this working VERY well with fairy support like Agents or Counter Fairies, or some sort of lv. 1 focused deck. This is a small engine with only 3 copies of a monster needed.
As cute as this deck is I just don’t like playing it. It is very bad at keeping up resources and the fact that in order to summon Purery with the quick plays you have to discard isn’t helping.
At least the effect is a cost, meaning you only lose the hand advantage if the effect resolves - and since it's likely gonna be the original Purery you summon, you can recoup the advantage with its search. And that 'Purery, My Friend' (which is basically a search all its own) basically fetchquests your Memories with the quickness. And the Epurery Happiness/Happy Memory combo makes it so you can easily stack up 5 materials in one Battle Phase, since Happiness searches on each attack it makes and Happy Memory gives it extra attacks.
@@RR3DSceptyr Purery's "search" is unreliable and everything else you mentioned is still counting on the fact that you have access to it. Sure you can search with the continuous spell and epurery happiness but you can't guarantee you get them all the time and the rest of the deck just isn't going to work as well without it.
@@SP00KY110 It's only unreliable if the Deck's not built on mostly Purery cards (aka: badly) And nineteen ways (counting One for One and Diviner/Hierarchia combo) to the 1.5 card Xyz with no opt on its 'search' tells me its resource game is just *fine*, especially since having to discard for this archetype basically translates to 'feed the GY for Epurery Plump/Purery, My Friend'.
This archetype is absolutely dangerous if not handled directly. Purrey doesn't have a once per turn effect. This thing is meant to be an adorable menace and I love him with all my heart
my first thought on seeing these cards was, they will for sure fit nicely into my melffy strategy, make the opponent fold to overvelming CUTENESS 🐇🐕🐈 the main XYZ are rank2 melffy is rank2 with great recurring value and the potential to fill 3 or 4 material if you got unlucky on the spells. also more cute fluffers piloting the AA (Adorable Animatronic) ZEUS.
I actually have this entire archetype in master dule now that it's there... me like. Their absolute monsters and I love them almost as much as my crystal beast deck.
Fought one just before looking for a video to explain the deck. The board ended with an expurery with 16K attack. I lost as he also had a statue barrier on the field with kept me from summoning a kaiju.
Purery Headpats Quick-Play Target one “Purery” XYZ monster you control. That monster’s effects cannot be negated and when it declares an attack, your opponent cannot activate card effects in response. You can banish this card from the GY to add one “Purery” Quick-Play spell from you deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of “Purery Headpats” once per turn.
I don’t see this deck doing much more than getting played at the local level. Your main deck monster is 3 of the level one, and you’d need to run as many of the quick plays that allow the spec-summon as possible that is a total of 9 additional cards. So 12 cards in total that you can either normal summon by drawing it, or special summon with a discard. You need at least 28 other cards to build a deck with the Purery cards, ignoring the trap, the continuous and the field. Even if you play them all at three you only have 21 cards. Barely over half the minimum, no matter what else you play purery is going to be a brick instead of advancing it’s own strategy. The other problem you run into with this deck is a lack of consistency, you have no way of having a foreseeable game-plan or a clear line of play given the randomness of the draw. You could need Happiness and get draw the beauty quickplay for example.
When a monster says it can't be destroyed by card effects, ¿Does it mean that it cant be destroyed by effects from spells, traps and monsters? I know some specify what can't destroy them but these im not sure. Cause my brother will activate a monster effect and say it's a monster effect not a card effect. Also, if a card destroys a card but it does not specify negate the activation. ¿Does my card effect still goes tru? Some times he'll use a cosmic cyclone on a monster reborn.
Update Post Mikanko vid: Couldn't do anything cause as you said they just Kaiju'd tf outta me. Didn't even get to see if I could counter the Mikanko's...
Does the Activated Quick Play spells they absorb still resolve before absorption? Edit: nvm just thought about it. It would function like MST being used to destroy monster reborn after reborn has already activated.
I cant believe a mediocre duliest such as myself can use this deck to make better duliests surrender and cry. Its master duel so I cant tell that they are crying, but i know.
