I love the purse. I love a purse with all the compartments and the separate little bags inside!!! People ask why it's so heavy, but I tell them I have to be prepared for anything!! Love your videos!
I just married into the Gallini family and it's tradition to give each female member a Baggallini . . . it's great. It totally made me smile when you mentioned your pencil case was from that brand. : )
actually im impressed at how you know what you like and what you want. Instead of following what others do (like branded handbags, normal wallets, etc). good job!!
I love zippers myself! I am not big on fancy brands either. I like my purses functional and light weight. I do however have a "Couch" over the shoulder bag that works great for me and I definitely am going to try the card holder! Thank you for showing us how you organize your purse!
I love how you keep all your things separate ( i reeeeealy love having things separate ) and easy to reach and you know exactly where everything is . I like a lot the bag , the separate compartments and the zippers and i like how you organize it. thank you for share
I'm watching in 2017. I like functional over pretty any day. I also like bags in bags like you have. Love your videos! Trying to declutter and organize my home. Your videos really inspire me!
I love the way you think that is comfort first then looks or makeups.I love you videos and learn so much more. You contribute to make ourlives more organised
Hi Alejandra, after I watched your video, I went to the Container Store and bought the bag! I love it so much that I have to retire all my MK bags! Thank you!
Agradezco mucho haber visto este video, luego de verlo cambié por completo mi manera de ver mi cartera de salir, este vídeo me ayudó a saber qué quería y cómo conseguirlo...Gracias Alejandra!
I did the same thing. I made my version of your purse and it is very helpful. I had a makeup bag I used for my emergency kit and I loaded more things in there, even a packet of instant coffee. :)
Smart girl. Function over fashion and it can still look great - bravo! BTW may I suggest you consider changing up your chapstick for vaseline? Chapstick and products like it, have ingredients that irritates skin and requires you to continually putting it on. Vaseline night and morning for a few days and you'll see a big difference.
twominutetips I would agree with you. Vaseline happens to be my best friend ! @Alejandra, you could buy a small travel hand cream container and repurpose it to hold the Vaseline when the hand cream is finished : )
everytime i learn a new little fact about you (i.e. the fact you are obsessed with zippers working properly - which I guess I could say I am too lol!) I like you so much more haha! I just started watching your videos and I'm just amazed with the amount of organisational tips and tricks you have!! Thanks so much for sharing them all with us Alejandra! love from Ireland :) xx
After I moved to my new home couple months ago I've been trying to set up organizing systems for everything and get my daily life in order. It has been really fun and helpful to follow your channel! I have to change between bags depending on the activity because my work and hobbies require their own bags. I try to make sure that all my bags have tissues, feminine products and gum etc just in case. I try to put everything else on the entrance cabinet everytime I come home and then grab what I need. I have a little bag for charger, extra battery and headphones. My makeup bag has a mirror+hairbrush, hair elastics and pins, a pillbottle with daily medicine and pain killers, concelear and lipstick of the day and a little container of bepanthen type of balm. When I leave the house I grab whatever I need from the cabinet.
I am a new fan. I first found your video, it looks like it was professionally made, in the old condo. I was amazed!! I can appreciate home made videos because they're real, I just appreciate the straight-forwardness of the professionally made one. With that tiny bit of feedback, I'd love to leave you with praise and thanks for posting all your ideas, methods, research and genius on here to teach and inspire!!
I love this video!!! This is the first Alejandra video I watched when I searched for purse organization ideas, and now it's progressed to two programs! I just joined SimpLESSity and I can't wait to finish it!
Hi Alejandra I liked your bag so much that I'm considering buying 3 of them all for different purposes but they will be used well...I'm not a purse snob either but I use all my bags regularly.
I use nontraditional bags too. I have two colorful vegan leather pencil cases in bright beautiful patterns. I use one as a wallet/money/coupon holder and the other as a make up/emergency bag. Instead of a regular purse, I use a small VB packpack, and also keep my small hand lotion, BB tinted lip balm, house keys and phone in the front pocket for easy access.
My mother was getting ready to travel in another country and the travel agent gave her some security measures to purchase before she left. One was purchasing a security purse with lockable zippers (supposedly harder for pickpockets to open them without you being aware of their manipulations). However, open pockets such your cell phone pocket was a big no-no as they would have no trouble slipping their hands into them in a crowded public transport bus. Another thing was having a cross-body handle with a steel wire threaded through it, so a purse snatcher could not cut your purse handle with a palmed knife and snatch the bag as it fell from your bod. The travel agent also suggested two cash wallets, one inside an inside zippered pocket next to your body with the large bills, and a smaller one with less cash for quick take-outs. So now I only use zippered, cross-body handled purses, however, the one I have, the inside lining is beginning to stretch and catch in the zipper at the top which really irritates the heck out of me! :)
omg you were an auditor!!! that's explain everything!!! lol that's why everything has to be color coded and organization is the key. I am an auditor from another big 4...totally understand you now lol
Alejandra, I thought this was so funny, had to share with you ! My Husband knows that I love Your vídeos, which I am aleays watching 😊 A few weeks ago I watched the one about your Milano bag, but didn't think he was paying attention. We just got back after 6 months abroad and my first outong was to pick up some items at the container store 😊 My husband immediately vanished and shortly after, emerged with your Milano bag saying : as much as you like order, U think you will really like Alejandra's bag ! 😊 I think it's he best part was realizing he pays attention to what interests me 😊 Now, I am a purse snob because unlike you, I like to dress up all the things me, no matter how uncorfotable 😱😄😄😄 sorry, I can't lie 😄😄 but as I looked I saw how yes, I would like it, so I bought, not sure of when I'd use it 😄😄 well, I started using as soon as I walked out of the store 😄😄 on the way home I put things in it to get a feeling for it, and absolutely loved it ! And since I now knew that he did pay attention to your ur video, I organized it the exact same way, except that I have a tiny make up bag for touch ups, where you have hand lotion and chopsticks, that way if he needs to get anything, he knows where to follow be it 😉 And as for my other bags, I still carry them too, and just put in it what I need for the time I'll spend at whatever location I am arriving, leaving everything I won't need in the Milano in the car 😊 And now that I know that he listens to you, I wait to watch your videos when he's around 😄😄😉 hopefully now he will follow the other sisters too and make my life easier 😊
Love your organized pursed. I also love zippers and style. I used to carry a smaller purse, but I'm a mom now and I need to carry more stuff for my son so, I either use my black Storksak diaper bag that has tons of pockets and zippers or a stylish backpack with lots of pockets. I need to have a mini first aid kit, extra diapers, baby wipes, hand sanitizer, wet bag, travel changing pad, a mini cosmetic bag with hair stuff, my monthly femenine essentials (pads, tampons), my small pouch with pens, highers a mini travel stackable container for snacks, drink for my son, my gum, tissue paper, portable phone charger and waller, phone. If I'm running a Rands on my own, I carry a small purse with just, keys, phone, wallet and sometimes a chopstick.
it would be nice to see the finished product - inside your bag. all the colorful things are so cool and make things so much simple to see. also it probably just looks nice to look inside your purse and see all those colors.
I have a confession to make ... Okay, so the first video of yours that I watched was your house tour and I found you really over the top and unnecessarily organised, I just thought the lengths that you went to were ridiculous but ... after watching every single one of your videos I have to admit I was so wrong, you are THE coolest person ever, you have great ideas and I love your personality and quirks! I've been well and truly converted! x
i bet you were a great auditor because one thing i learnt as an auditor is that you ought to be a very organised and meticulous. love the creativity behind the lill bags.
Great tips - thank you! I like the first aid bag idea so I'll use that for sure. One thing I'm never without is a shawl. It's cashmere so it's thin and lightweight and takes up very little space if folded into a square about the size of an Ipad. I keep it in the side pocket of my bag so it doesn't get pulls and tugs from other items. It's come in handy so many times when I've been caught out without a jacket and it's turned cool or the aircon is too cold in a shop or movies etc.
I like your other vids I have seen so far, I I don't understand why the phone is in an open pocket, but you keep your chap stick and hand cream zipped up?
Thanks for sharing! I also do same things as you but was not sure if i'm just acting weird .... now i know i'm on the right track. Great video .... great mind!
Greetings, I am a recent fan. Ordered the Mia Zippered Tote in the pear color. (really green) from the manufacturer, love it. Got flyer from the Container Store today and the Mia tote is now on sale plus it now has: Back panel slips over the handle of rolling luggage. Thank you for sharing all your tips.
You should look at the Travelon RIF protected bags/ purses and wallets. QVC often has sales where you get the wallet or mini and pay options they even have some cute backpacks.
I love Travelon! I'm carrying have one of their bags right now & have 2 of their wallets. LOL I think it might be overkill @ this point but better safe than sorry, right?
Could you do a "whats on my iPhone/organisational tips" video? would be much appreciated as I'm finding it hard to organise my iPhone and find particular apps!
Alejandra, just wanted to say thanks for all your awesome videos. I'm so much more organized now then I ever have been. I am surprised there is someone else out there that is so picky about zippers (total zipper snob right here). Thanks again!
I'm watching my way through all the videos (such fun and inspiration); so far this is the one that has moved me to comment. For me, I MUST have a purse of a compact size that has an open pocket across the back. I have a holster-style cell phone case that gets clipped to this pocket since I need cell phone access constantly and immediately. So the purse must be a smaller size with an across-the-body strap. Currently I use a vintage Coach. Establishing my requirements has been truly fun!
That's cool, we are similar in what we both carry in our purse. I also don't fuss with makeup in the purse but do love my burts bees and hand cream. I also like my phone and keys in separate compartments in the front. What's different is my inside part isn't in small bags like yours but I want it to be!
i literally have everything you do in my purse plus a LOT more...to the point where i simply cant carry it all. being ocdish about organising its very hard to figure out what to bring and what to leave out...there are sooo many options and travel size things for your purse its overwhelming! and i too have to have a couple compartments including a pocket for special things like keys and phone and there are some cute bags that have those!
Hahaha! I am at home sick today organizing! I suggested my mom cleaned her purse out while I checked my emails just now and saw this video! I just think that is really funny! =) Thanks for the great video!
I purchased one of these for a long trip, but ended up taking my Baggallini Town Tote as my purse instead because it had more center compartment organization and a wider base. I found the Milano Mia tote narrower and taller. Since my trip, I have moved into a Travelon Nylon City Messenger Bag which has awesome organization, great zippers, and has an adjustable crossbody strap. I use a Kipling Kuji pouch for cash and change (you don't have to fold your bills), and it fits my Google cell.
Where can I get those zippered pouches in those sizes really cheap and her coin purse and the wallet? and a purse almost the same as that one really cheap (I'm on a really tight budget but I'm trying to start organizing my life)
You're so right, I'm always rooting for keys and phone. Actually I always carry my keys separately. My handbag was stolen once. If you keep keys separately at least you can drive home.
I would never organize my purse like this. I'm way to obsessed with keeping everything away from thieves. I would never put my phone and keys in an open, outer compartment. Nor would I even put my iPad in the zipped, outer compartment. I keep valuables as close to my body as possible, and then less important items (like pen cases or first aid kits) in the outer pockets. Sucks if anything gets stolen, but at least getting some new pens is loads cheaper/easier than getting a new phone or new keys.
Hi, I just started watching your video and am hook!!! I live in the Caribbean on an Island divided in 2 name Saint-Martin (French)/Sint Maarten (Dutch), so it’s difficult to get items here. Thanking you for sharing, you have giving me so many ideas.
This is so funny... I use only smoothly zippered purses and love smaller zippered pouches, have had "favorite" specific pens since I was a kid, always prefer function over fashion in everything, etc. I also have a real "thing" about kitchen canisters with labels for some reason. I thought I was the only one. Haha, I guess I'm not alone! I'm very interested in learning what else you can show me, o' kindred spirit. :)
Avon's "Mark" line has makeup that is collapsable and portable because they come with connectors to make it nice and organized. I have eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss, etc, in my mini makeup bag in my purse thanks to this. I used to carry around a large makeup bag in my purse and I find these to be such a lifesaver. Plus I use a decorative sunglasses case to carry around my feminine products so no one knows the difference. :)
Container Store has an amazing Sherpani bag with many many zippers / pockets as well. Love it so much I went back to buy a second one for a relative :) They were in pastel blues and greens last year and the year before, but I think it's only in black now.
Yes it is the Mia Tote. It was very sturdy but not a heavy bag to carry. I didn't buy it because I couldn't make it a cross body and the inside liner is black too. I don't carry much either but for a daily bag, it wasn't or me. I would recommend it for traveling or for projects though.
Hi Alejandro I live in Orlando near the Millenia Mall I bought that exact purse at the container store. It seem mine worn out quickly I luv the purse so I thinks I will re upholstery it. Luv your videos
Alejandro? With "o"? Do you think she looks like a man? (not judging, but your comment made me laugh) Go ahead and call her Julio too. Or Carlos. Or Juan. Or all combined: Alejandro Julio Carlos Juan does amazing organizing videos.
What about the Milano Taylor Shoulder Bag? It is a mini-me of one you purchased from the container store. Do you need the larger purse? It also comes in two colors. I really need all the pockets but am not sure if I need all the space.
