Pushing a stock high mileage BMW 335xi on the dyno!

As promised here is the baseline dyno on the 2008 BMW 335xi. The car has just over 174K miles on the clock but was looked after by the previous owners. It came with full dealer service records and many of the miles were racked up driving from KC to Arizona.
The dyno estimated a 17% drivetrain loss which is about right for a 4WD vehicle.

Wow nice I have 170k N54 335xi on single turbo I'm pushing 22-23lb boost 650whp going for 700-750 this season my engine is very healthy, she also a old girl too! :)

Every time I drive it I have to double check the mileage as it certainly doesn’t feel that old! Any links to pics of your build? Would love to see it.

My 2009 335i is MHD stage 2+, FBO with the XHP stage 3 transmission tune. Just hit 100k miles a few days ago. Park it for the winters....it's a monster.

I ve bought the TD04-19T already but need the downpipes and the inlets but need a sponser😅😢 I love my 335XI e90 from 2008. Nice video! respect.

if you need a straight line benchmark to hit, my new grocery getter would be a high bar to shoot for! it's a 4600 lb SUV, but the new S58 twin turbo straight six that BMW slapped in there absolutely screams (11.3 stock in the quarter mile). and i may have already tuned mine 👀 i'm curious to see what numbers you get out of the 335i. those n54's have pretty good tuning headroom

By the sounds of it, that would be hard to reach but I enjoy a good challenge :)

@@FindingSeconds without using launch control, it has a monstrous amount of turbo lag (think mk iv supra), so it might not be so bad. plus modern bmw's allow crazy overboost during lunch control, though i don't know how my flash tune would affect that, if at all 🤔

Any updates? I'm very curious to see how each maintenance and tune adds power. I also own 335xi (N54). I did VRSF downpipes, chargepipe, 50mm BOV, MHD Stage 2 (E30 mix map), etc. Never been to the dyno, but I maintain it well, so I'm sure I get as a maximum of her as possible. Changing the oil each 4k miles, plugs every 15-20k miles, AT fluid and all other fluids (transfer, diffs) every 30-40-60k miles, etc. Fresh coils. Would be glad to see updates on yours.

Not yet. Trying to find a manual at the moment as I miss the third pedal. The N54 engine is fantastic fun :)
