Is it a solid axle? Surprised that was asked. Your brake caliper would of stopped the axle from coming out. You could of drove it onto the trailer. Doesn't make a difference if you winch it, push it or just drive it if the rear drive line was removed.
Really looking into a 2.7 short cab ecoboost . Heard with just bolt ons and a tune with upgraded turbos they hit easy 5-600hp safety on a stock long block ???? Looking to make it into an 11sec !! How are the 10speed trans ? Reliable ?? Any specific years to get ?
I did that back in 2015. It was fun,but I've also had a boosted 5.0 & it's alot more fun. I would only get the 2.7 in a bronco now though. The 2.7 is a great engine for it's displacement but sounds like crap & is limited on it's potential.

Sell that crappy srt & use the $ to fund a real truck. Get a f150 with a 5.0 & boost it. You'll thank me later. It'll spank anything you've got or are thinking of getting & definitely get better fuel economy than that dang Italian suv.
