Pushing Boundaries: Sailing Adventures and DIY Boat Life EP. 116 

Anybody who really watches and supports your channel is not going to drop you or post negative comments when you go outside your lane occasionally. I personally loved the solo sailing footage. I am not a yoga person but I appreciate the time and effort that goes into films. As a professional film editor, I know exactly how much time a good film with a storyline takes. You guys have it, film what gives you joy. The biggest killer of creativity is repetitiveness, finding the balance between creating income and creativity is key.

The Last video with Katy was informative and really interesting. Great Job. This video was also well done. It was great to see the four of you together. Becca and Zack and the both of you are genuine people. I hope your friendships blossom into something special. You all work very hard to put out solid content. Two of my favorite channels for sure. Don"t let undesireable comments effect you in a negative way. Life is too short ! Too F...king short. Stay positive.

Good episode. I really appreciated your intro and agree it was necessary as it put the last two episodes in perspective. I will continue following your travels. They are interesting, informative, and provide glimpses into the lives you are living. Though sailing and your destinations are important parts of your channel, they are not everything and are more alive when other aspects of you lives are also included. Thanks.

I actually enjoyed the yoga retreat video more than many other YT videos I've watched recently. It was more of a documentary or travel format and would have not been out of place on any broadcast network human interest show (think: CBS Sunday Morning). Very well done in terms of visuals and interviews. I also understand how much work it is to get from raw footage to finished product.

I love seeing ALL of your videos. I feel that your video log is more true to life than most sailing channels. Life is a balance. Keeping that balance is key for a healthy life and relationship. I know many sailors and cruisers who spend a great portion of their lives OFF the boat. They just do not always show it. After all, there are cruising "seasons," which suggests that there is an off-season when sailors do something else. As far as Google's algorithm: The issue is not really about staying in your lane. The issue is that most people do not subscribe to channels. Most viewers wait until RU-vid suggests videos based on the viewer's watch history. Hence, if your video does not contain a sufficient amount of sailing, it will not be suggested to people who watch sailing videos. The solution is easy: Everyone needs to subscribe!

Love what you guys are doing... Watched both the last 2 vids as they landed and in order, no issues. I get they were off-topic for "sailing"... IMHO not at all off-topic at all for a channel chronicling your liveaboard life... which anyone who lives aboard knows, does not "only" happen on th boat. Everyone who does this (sailing on the UToobs) have other land-based-stuff happen in their lives too... ya'll just keep on doing you. You''re doing just fine. Also, off-topic and of a personal note... Thank you, you have inadvertently helped me with a small decision I have been hung up on... what to name our autopilot. You see I have a tendency to "name" stuff on the boat. our large folding cart is called, "Dobby" (I know not why)... our small folding cart is called, "Cartman" (kinda obvious I know) our (1) E-bike is a "Jetson" brand... so it is called, "Rastro!" Keep doing what you’re doing. Your viewers aren’t going to like every video. I didn’t care for the last two, but that shouldn’t stop you from doing what you feel passionate about. Keep up the good work and living your dreams.

Stay true to yourself and don't let the "hive mind"/comments and algorithms drive what you create and do. Life is short and no need to explain your reasons for doing what you enjoy.

I greatly enjoyed the retreat video. I even talked to my wife about planning a trip there, and she seemed positive about the idea. It seems like an amazing place to improve mental and physical health. I love watching your sailing videos, but realistically will not be sailing myself, so it is cool to see a place I might actually able to experience myself.

Great video! I think you are wise to change things up from time to time just to keep yourself interested and fully engaged in the channel. My big thing is for it to be authentic and that it shows your wonderful personalities. Something was different (in a good way) about Katy when you were sitting and talking in the first part. I'm terrible about knowing what the difference was (maybe more tanned, longer hair, possibly a little weight loss, who knows). She looked really healthy so maybe it was a yoga impact or change of pace kind of thing. In any case, I hope she is feeling great as well. Glad to see you pair up with Zack & Becka as they are genuinely kind people as well. Btw, you two really know how to get to work and put the ship shape on a boat! I'm sure Boundless feels loved and well cared for!

I think this lady has checked out. He seems to be the only one who can't see it. She's planning her exit strategy, but you can see she's a sweet person and knows this is going to hurt him. Good luck with that conversation it's never pleasant. But she knows it has to happen she's just not sure how to do it yet.

Good episode❤ keep on doing what you do without explanations. Working together as you do yet keeping your own identities is key to happiness. Reviewing Katy's up the mast video...some of the sheave pins in the masthead and lower shroud tangs thru-bolts have alot of rust and the paint there is much more pitted than the last time you video inspected it. Maybe the next time you want to sink your new teeth into boat projects address those....the bolts especially. The genoa furler looks vulnerable to halyard wrap the way it is set up. The halyard is too paralell to the headstay and foil.

You two have a great boat, a great partnership, and a great life… I think some of the negative comments, particularly in the first episode, were because some viewers thought that you two were breaking up… Most of those negative comments were directed towards Katy… I think some viewers don’t understand her personality and that’s unfortunate because she appears to be a beautiful soul… It’s in the past, move on and don’t dwell on it…

Well I have watched all your videos from begining, and I do not understand the obvious what probably most of the watchers see. Katy does not want to be there, even my partner just said, seen her for a first time now, why that woman is making faces like angry toad.
