An 80 year old International TD6 crawler is used to remove stumps. This machine starts on gasoline and switches to diesel and is still running good after all these years.
Interesting hydraulic system on that tractor. Tractor looks to be in very good condition, I like that you took your time and didn't beat the tractor up. Nice job.
Great job with the 6. Although the music from the 6 is all you really need. One other thing when you let those set for a long time you should tie those steering clutch’s back. Dealing with stuck clutch’s is no fun.🇺🇸🇺🇸

I have a 1952 IH TD6 and push 40 year old cherry tree stumps with it. I don't dig, though. I just put the blade at the bottom of the stump lift a little then push. They all come out easily and no digging.
I tried earlier just to push but no luck. Having it cut almost flush didn’t help it any. That stump was almost 3 feet deep too so I had to dig around it. Amazing these old machines can still work and are fun to use. Thanks for watching
Hey are you only running it on gas? I noticed I don't ever see any black smoke coming out of it. Are you one of the few variants that only run on gas? You said 40hp and I believe those are the start on gas run on diesel variants.
It’s running on diesel. Once it’s warmed up it doesn’t smoke. When it’s running on gas it can barely move under it’s own power as the gas mode is for start up only. Thanks for watching
These weren’t power houses to begin with. Only 40 hp. It’s funny they put bigger engines in lawn mowers now. Your hydraulic pump could be worn. I replaced mine years ago and it really helped. I should have a new video out on this machine this spring as it’s been a few years since the last one. Thanks for watching
