Nice build dude, have followed you a bit over the last few years and Steve is an a1 bloke, really knows his stuff, have used him a few times and always had a good day with great results…
just found this channel, awesome work! i assume the modified car laws must be quite relaxed in the UK as I have seen some crazy car builds on RU-vid that all seem to be road legal.... In Australia while it's possible to build something like this if you have the skills or money to pay someone to do it, you don't see many as it's a long process with lots of red tape. engineering reports, chassis rigidity testing etc.
Remember it's not just boost acting against the wastegate actutor, you also have drive pressure trying to lift the wastegate off it's seat so depending on how well the hot side is flowing will impact on how much boost lifts the actuator. That's why multi port actuators are used so you can keep the actuator shut until you want it to open. Decent numbers for whst jt is, can imagine that's a lot of fun.
I am interested in your welding course, I am ok with the basics, but watching the standard you work to I have a lot to learn, looking forward to hearing more about it, fortunately just up the road
Hell yeah so sick watching the continued progress of the car, remember when ya first started copping up the rusty mx5 and starting out. little lambo killa now. can i enter the AIM deal if in ozzy? awesome work
K Swap it my friend! Build yourself a K24 with a K22 head in a billet block and a sequential trans! Build yourself some metal tubing with V-Bands and get rid of the rubber hose for your boost tubes.
@@meXicossie The Original chassis is Mk2 which has a different engine. I think the Exhaust and intake are on the opposite side and would take a lot of modifications to fit the 2.3. The Engine your referring to was in the Mk3. This is all what I read somewhere so Don't hold me. A K swap would also be the more exciting engine with higher Revs and Boost is a Great combination!
@@apexaero The LS swap needs the Transmission tunnel widening and is a Pricey job to do. You're probably on your way to 15k with the LS. Jag V6 is a good swap with 270-280 N/a and no weight penalty for 7k
i stopped watching this channel because of all the racing shit, there’s Tons of that crap on RU-vid! you had a good fabrication channel shame you got bored with it 🤷🏻♂️
I wouldn't say I'm bored of it but the racing is what motivates me to actually do the work. I enjoy driving cars far more than working on them so there wouldn't be one without the other I'm afraid.
@@Urchfab i realise that but if you compare your views to your fab work you’ll see what i’m getting at, Its what set your channel apart, your an excellent fabricator and i think you should just try more adventurous stuff along that line, Just trying to help as i feel your letting good content slip when it was becoming huge ! all the best to you though whatever you decide its your life after all, didn’t want to sound critical or hateful just wanted to give criticism in a good way incase you hadn’t realised this type of content is plentiful.
