Accidentally grabbed hold of one of these while lifting the lid off the horse feed when I was 8 and this was the worst pain I’ve ever felt all I could do was cry and yell. There was so much pain my ears were ringing from how much I was straining to try to let the pain pass.. it felt like I put my hand on a red hot stove top and left it there for 10 seconds. This pain lasted for a few hours. The palm of my hand felt like it was on fire and I had the red burn rash for a few weeks. I would never want anyone else to ever experience this and especially not a little kid.
I watch the free videos about the hummingbirds and I live in the United States and I really don’t wanna with my family when maybe one of my family would try to touch but then I would say mom sister other sister or even dad and they come with us don’t touch I love this video❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That would be more appropriate! I concur!! And no, but I'm adding them to the list because now I want to know all about them. I do know that the males are super tiny and in order to procreate they basically assimilate into the female's body. Talk about true love. #completelyunsolicitedfactdropping
actually, bugs like this (flat bodies and long fur) give me a creeping feeling and rather than making me want to pet them, they makevme run from them whilst patting myself down to make sure there arent any on me
It should be noted that the ootheca of the Carolina mantis (Stagmomantis Carolina) looks just like a puss caterpillar. Rather clever mimicry making a tasty and defenseless egg sac look like a venomous caterpillar.
Here's an excerpt from an article about what to do if you come in contact with a puss caterpillar: "The most crucial advice Wagner and Bessin offer is not to brush the caterpillar from your skin. Swatting off the caterpillar makes it more likely that the venomous hairs or spines will be left on your clothing. Instead, very carefully remove the caterpillar with a stick or another object, Bessin advises. Once the caterpillar has been removed, take a shower, Wagner suggests. "Wash away the hairs and cool down. That might help the allergenic reaction," he said. Wash your contaminated clothes as well, as a few hairs or spines might remain." Got stung by the caterpillar today and it felt like a bee sting times three and a radiated up my arm and it felt like a whole bunch of doctor shots like that sore feeling was really terrible
Good video:And good thing I haven't seen one yet,but their is one thing you forgot to mention about the puss caterpillar that since it turns to a moth is it hair's not venomous no more.
This may be what my dad accidentally touched awhile ago and it gave him a bad rash and some pain. He did not, however, get any of the more serious physical symptoms.
