Death is one of if not the best DreamWorks antagonist ever. His whistle still sends shivers up my spine. I like how, at the start, Puss was bragging about having "never been touched by a blade." So the moment Death was actually able to cut him, Puss became a scared, anxious mess. It's the moment he realized that he's not invincible after all.

I have theory that Kitty lied about not being there since she saw how bad Puss felt. Also I’m kinda happy that they caught on that the cricket sounded like Jimmy Stewart not many people caught that 😊

One of the best parts about Perrito is when he unloads those bleeps, he's too pure to use such language "for real" but you KNOW he had to have learned it from somewhere ... somebody....

Death was so well portrayed in this movie, just a force of nature, it was simply breath taking. This version of death seems to respect life, rather than just dishing out death, willy nilly. And it was different rather than having a piece of parchment and having a list and crossing names off of it. Among other literation's the reaper we know comes for you and leads you to the other side. We know that meme of death meeting someone, they have a convo and it ends with death saying no you were the best. some beg not to be taken, some are to young to know what happened, some are to far gone mentally to realize what happening, some are/were suffering, some try to prolong, some sign and accept his hand willingly. But here we're shown puss squandered and wasted 8/9 lives. Pretty sure death was there during every single one, but couldn't out right take puss because he had another life to spare. It was only when puss cherished/valued his life that death let him go, bc when he looked into his eyes at the end it wasn't a bluff or ego he normally had when they 1st met. They'll meet again, soon but not yet.

What I really loved about the movie was that when Puss has his panic attack, Perrito acts like a real life service dog would in the situation and lays his head on Puss's lap to help calm him down

I’m a biased guy in saying this. But I’m a colossal sucker for dogs. So needless to say, I immediately fell in love with Perrito! He was so damn cute and adorable! Need a lot more of him asap!

This movie has a very good trio of antagonist, and anyone of them is collocate in a different category: Goldilocks: anti-villain, she is not bad inside but she choose the wrong way to obtain her wish. In the end she has good sides, she loves the Three Bears and has help the heroes against Jack Horner. The Wolf/The Death: Nemesis, he/it antagonised Puss because he was too arrogant and cocky, and wanted give him a lession. When Puss understands his mistakes and becames more wise and respectful towards the Life, The Wolf/The Death dimostrates his/its sense of honor and saves him. Jack Horner: True Evil and effettive villain, compared to Goldilocks he never understood that he choose the wrong way.... oh well.... he knew that he was wrong, but he didn't care about that. He was dead inside and totaly selfish, and that was his downfall!

It's so good! The Last Wish is that rare thing: an animated sequel that actually delivers.

My pitch: Shrek, Fiona, Donkey & Team Friendship + 1 vs. The Seven Dwarfs in a Magnificent Seven style battle...perhaps Maleficent controls the Dwarfs and they become the evil Maleficent Seven ;D

I hope for future Shrek-related stories to show the Cricket and Pinochio being reunited, since his absence was explained being imprisoned in Jack Horner's house. Why not join Puss and Kitty on a trip to Far Far Away?

Thought I'd drop in and say Kung Fu Panda 2 is one of the greatest animated movies ever made and you should definitely watch those movies

You've never seen the Kung Fu Panda movies? You need to correct that! Right up there with How To Train Your Dragon it's easily the best animated film series of its decade.

I honestly think since Softpaws overheard Puss, she was kind enough to not rub it in knowing how he felt. I think she lied about not being there just to show sympathy towards him knowing that he was terrified.

So, speaking of someone who... is honestly rather sour on the Shrek movies, and never bothered to watch the first Puss In Boots movie, I absolutely love this movie. And Death... I don't class him as a "villain" so much as an antagonist. Heck, the opening scene alone is kind of... a huge example of why he's fed up with Puss. He literally will walk on people (seriously, what kind of 'hero' would just... happily step on a child's face?), he doesn't care about what danger he puts himself or others in, and _yeah_, he kills the giant... who wouldn't have been a problem if _he_ hadn't woken it up in the first place. Puss doesn't care about anything but the legend, and that makes him... dangerous to everyone around him. So... yeah. I'm kind of on Death's side at the beginning... but in the end... _that_ version of Puss is dead. So, mission accomplished. Live your life.

Fun fact Jiminy Cricket is only the name of the cricket from Pinocchio the Disney movie. The source material just called him the "Talking Cricket" so they could not in fact just camme him Jiminy Crickect unfortunately 🤣

What bothers me the most about this movie is they are called the "baker's dozen" but I can only count 12. A baker's dozen is 13. Because a baker always put in one extra, in case one comes out over or under cooked.

I love that death was played/voiced by Pablo Escobar from Narcos, 1 of my favourite series ever!!! If you 2 haven’t experienced Narcos yet, you definitely should, it’s the first thing I saw Pedro Pascal in and he was phenomenal as was Wagner……..
