Damned youth, my dear mother cannot be followed. Damned youth, my dear mother cannot be met, nor bough with money my dear mother Youth passes, my dear mother like spring water runs The old age is chasing, my dear mother chasing like shadow
@@nanculito the word "male/мале" is not mother.... and if you say it is i am willing to argue because unlike you i speak the dialect better, "male" is something like "oh god" or something you say when you are tired and something new appears that contributes to the tiredness.
Someone know the game called " alone in the dark"? They also used beautiful bulgarian chores There . That was the first time i heared this beatiful bulgarian style
@Khushwant-Singh, the translate is for you! Namaste! I love Rajastani and more indian songs, Kailash is amazing, he make me think and cry. He have amazing voice. Greets from Rhodopes.
People all over the world wonder what magic is...This is it! I truly hope one day people will start to understand what this music and all that sounds really means.Like they used to understand in the ancient past. And we must all protect it because its about to disapear!
+vikecah Can you tell us more about this song please and its healing powers... Also if you know of any other Bulgarian songs that are used for sacred ritual, I am willing to know :))
Wow!I just said I like one song and you turned it into a political issue. All Balkan nations were under the Ottoman rule for many centuries hence there were no borders between them and ethnic minorities of Bulgarians,Greeks,Turks,Jews and others were living scattered in today F.Y.R.O.M,Bulgaria,Turkey and Greece.I have no intention arguing on RU-vid but expressions like ''forced Hellenicization'' make me want to say that Bulgaria collaborated with Kaizer and Hitler in both World wars that lead at population exchange in the first case between Greeks living in Eastern Rumelia and Bulgarians living in Thrace and Macedonia and occupation of Alexandroupoli,Komotini,Serres,Xanthi,Kavala,Thasos and Samothrace in the second case.In the Greek territories, the Bulgarian government imposed a policy of Bulgarisation, leading to an exodus of the Greek population, especially after the brutal suppression of the Drama Uprising in September 1941.An estimated 15,000 Greeks were killed by Bulgaria's occupation army and in the countryside entire villages were machine-gunned and looted.By late 1941, more than 100,000 Greeks had been expelled from the Bulgarian occupation zone.Let history remain the past and let's enjoy what connects us.I have some really cool Bulgarian friends that live in Greece and I really liked Burgas when i visited many years ago.Let's enjoy nice music wherever it comes from and let songs unite us.
kaisariani83 Of course we have to enjoy the good song but this song is Bulgarian. The fact that you heard it first in Greece doesn't mean that it is Greek. That is what the man wanted to tell you. In fact it is true that great part of North Greece was populated mainly by Bulgarians. A couple of years ago I saw part of the Greek TV program for the New Year. And I was very surprised to see costumes very similar to our folklore costumes and songs that are traditional for Bulgaria sang in Greek on the Greek TV for the New Year programme. So the truth should be said.
Yes! Music is for the heart, we should all know we are brothers and sisters and love and understand each other.
But they never even said anything about it not being Bulgarian, literally all they said was that they heard it on the radio in Greece, close to the Bulgarian border (which should tip you off that they already knew it was not a Greek song). There is no need to get so goddamn defensive about it. It makes our country look pathetic when people jump immediately to shove politics down your throat at the mere mention of Bulgaria. Yeah, our country is great in a lot of ways and we have some unique and absolutely fantastic music and culture. But jesus, people need to tone it down.
Here is translate. In bulgarian have words on dialekt who cannot being tranlsated like pusta....its not empty. Text: Oh, this youth, dear mother, empty youth! Oh this youth, dear mother, flows like water! Oh old age, dear mother, this old age. Old age weighs on dear mother, like a shadow (in original texts its not shadow its prokoba - damnation). It is known about this song that if it is sung to a dying person, it can be returned. Maybe it works on Bulgarians only;) There was a very nice film about a bulgarian dying boyin a coma. His friend came from America to the Rhodopes to look for this song, to shoot it and play it for him. Since then, it has been my very favorite. Here are the truths about life!
