I just restarted as a former legend battler. I perma deleted my account a few months ago ( after a gbl strop)and recently opened a new account with a new email address . Back to level 1. I’m Afraid that seeing the teams you are getting at rank 3 proves (what I hoped was hear say and loss bias )that sadly there is an algorithm. I only have steel wing pidgeot, ( as no elite tms yet) with feather dance/ brave bird built ( decent ivs for great league ) and the other mons I’m using are single move cross chop machamp and night slash zangoose. I have caught other decent mons but am only going to build good ivs. I’m at rank 15 and I’ve genuinely haven’t played a single match against a “proper” Player. It’s been all newbies ( throwing earthquakes at pidgeot with their meganium etc). The game can clearly recognise you have won thousands of games so is deliberately pairing you against hard meta ( in rank 3) where as it assumes I’m hopeless ( as I started on zero wins) so is still pairing me up with rubbish in rank 15. Matchmaking is not just randomers in your rank, it’s also based on total number of games played clearly. When I used to play ( before quitting) it was exactly the same pattern as your battles. Once I hit rank 3/4 I was getting hit with proper opponents. This is why everyone ( even the best of the best) are around 50-60% win rate.
