That QJ shove was dangerous. You might get called by a set, which has ten outs, but QJdd snaps and has a massive free roll.

the 99 hand is interesting on the river. I think its player dependent and also depends on players stack sizes. Bad players will be the strength of their hand. Ie, if they river a flush, they will just lead huge, like close to pot, so when they bet 1/3, they never have a flush. However, if a player is capable and studied, they will also bet their flushes for a small sizing, along with some Ax. If they have Ax of diamonds, they can do a pretty sick bet, 3b bluff on the river if they get raised. Probably not the most common play at most 2/5 tables, but it is possible. Also, I think just raising on the flop is better. They really shouldn't be 'range betting' on T9x out of position. There are a lot of cards that can kill the action as well on the turn, any 8/J/Q/K diamond etc. So building a pot and playing for stacks by raising flop I think is a better play, than waiting to raise on the turn. If you were to slowplay a set, I would slowplay top set (TT) since you block all top pair holdings.

Yeah I agree with you for sure. The reason I put it at 50 50 is because of the heads up factor. If it's multi way it's a slam dunk raise on the flop. But sometimes you gotta go with how you feel about the situation and not always the theory. That comes when I review hands after

I stumbled upon your page a few months ago and love the content. I just moved to the DMV and recently got into poker. Where's the best room to play at for beginners, and any advice on what to study starting out. thanks!

@Mack's Bet, I saw you there on Saturday but it was quite busy with the promotion going on. By the time I was about to say something you were already sitting a the 2/5 table, I don't like bothering people when they are getting busy on the tables.....but i know now that you don't mind but will ensure that you are not in a hand.

@@MacksBet28 Mack''s Bet, I had the opportunity to play at Horseshoe in Baltimore on Saturday night and those guys were just giving $$$$$ away in for $300 out for $1065 in a little over 2 hours. It was crazy what they were going to the River with. Only 10 miles from Maryland Live

Really nice video. Do you ever like a squeeze on the bb w j10dd when there’s so many flatters? Feel like there range is very capped.

Of course I do. Just when I do lot of times they all fold and the hand doesn't make the video lol

also just calling the Q5 is not mistake. If you look at a solver, they often like to put top and bottom pair (or bottom two pair) into a x/c range, so that you have strong hands to call down with, out of position. Especially on a wet board that can change a lot, there are a lot of cards that you might not like to see, if you bloat up the pot, out of position, and then start to get piled on by your opponent. top and bottom and bottom two can also be counterfeit by the river, a lot of the time, and if all the money goes in, you can sometimes be drawing dead to top two pair and/or one of the sets.
@MacksBet28
@MacksBet28 2 месяца назад
Yes that's a great point. And definitely that board got shittyyy quick lol. If he had a hand in that range he woulda been able to bluff me out the pot pretty easyyy

man that A3 hand has to be a x/r on the flop. I don't know if you ever considered a x/r on the river either but I think I almost prefer a x/r on river to calling. if you are calling a 3 there, then you are just calling every single pair that have, which is wayyyy too often. having spades is also bad, although a decent player should not be bluffing with spades.
@MacksBet28

Yeah I played it wrong every street definitely a raise. I have decent equity vs any possible hand. And vs his exact holding I'm almost flipping with. Plus the fold equity definitely
