My car started having this same issue a week ago and I couldn’t find anything on my 2015 fb2 The car would shake very bad on 1st and on reverse I was told it could be my clutch master cylinder but I had no leaks so went ahead and order complete flywheel clutch kit replacement and came in yesterday!! Thanks for posting this 👏

2014 civic has been shuddering when starting from first for a while now. Sometimes it's ok, lot of times it shudders. While I'd like to say I could do this repair I don't have a flat solid area or hoist or anything so think I might have to find someone

Sounds like the same issue this civic was having. If you can find a good independent shop that’d be your best bet.

My 1.4 Manual 8th gen has the same stutter. Worst thing is, my mechanic told me the clutch actually feels new. Pick up is quite low down. But the clutch chatter kills me inside when it happens. Its good to know that im not just a shit driver. So best bet is to replace fly wheel and clutch kit?

Recently having this problem on my 09 Si, initially thought it had to deal with something in engagement. went as far as replacing cmc and slave because the car would still move, but since then bought a replacement clutch and plan on sending her to the shop tomorrow appreciate the video !!

I did my clutch replacement 7 months ago and started having this same issue. I appreciate the work you put in to make these videos. It was a pain in the ass doing everything without having to set up a camera and narrate what I was doing. Liked and subscribed. Thanks.

good video, but why clean the flywheel AFTER installing it? Wouldn't it be easier to clean it when it is OUT of the car, before install?

I clean it after I install it on the car because you’re going to handle it while installing it onto the engine. No matter how clean your hands are you’re still going to get some grease or dirt on it while doing so. That and I’ve always found it to be easier to spray brake clean on a vertical surface that a horizontal one.

@@85garage Brake clean is a special type of liquid? Saw the whole video. liked and subscribed. I been dealing with this problem since my last clutch replacement 60,000miles civic 2015 ago. It will be replaced again and I would hate to deal with this problem again. I think the shop that did my clutch just resurfaced the old one. I plan on getting the luk or exedy, which do you recommend? I plan on supervising this time, should the flywheel be machined? I live in Guadalajara Mexico and there is easy access to machine shops. I thought it would get better with use, but never did.

I’ve had good luck with both brands. I always have the flywheel resurfaced or replace it while I’m doing a clutch. I don’t like doing a clutch job twice.
