@@mrbaconkitty9804 The video creator did not insert the sounds, the actual game does it instead. Can confirm the PS1, Saturn, and PS2 versions all do this as I have all 3 of them.
also fyi The Red Dancing Fish got cartoon violence sucked dry in Puyo 3 and got stoned in Puyo 4 when Mermaid Serilly treated him as a regular friend. Damn this series is definitely of "getting petrified and stoned"
Myself I prefer the PS1 and PS2 versions of this game, both have the remixed tunes, but both also have the original arcade tunes. The PS2 version is also in higher resolution, and the Puyo sprites look really, really nice. The voice actresses are also different between the Saturn and PS1/PS2 versions, the latter 2 used the lady that still does Arle's voice going forward. The Saturn version used the woman's voice from just this game, maybe the first game too. Amazing how all 3 play and look quite similar, but use different voice actresses for Arle.
because the English Puyo 1 releases didn't include religious grey area lores, ppl all missed the misspelling joke. Arle is really a fun girl for carrying out mostly English magic spells and even English mispelling jokes

fr Arle sounds like an auntie in this one instead of Sailor Moon voicing her in Playstation. But personally i enjoy this rare specific mature tone, Sailor Moon is just too energetic and loud
I'd either love the younger PPT1-2 English dub or this specific Japanese auntie dub. But I got another one point for the Puyo 1 at no 3 fav arcade localization Silvana voice which most ppl won't agree
if you played Herebeke/ Uforia there is a character called Shades which use hammer to pop his eyes out as an ultimate ability to counter some boss attacks. Talking about the same kind of cartoon body violence to the max, eh?
