this is a misleading title. you're "mostly harmless" EDIT: I jumped out of my chair when you rammed him down to 45% and pulled out the interdictor. this was awesome lol
I was in my Vulture en route to a hazres to meet up with the rest of my wing they assumed because I’m only ‘Harmless’ and I wouldn’t wipe the floor with two Viper Mk4s and an Imperial Eagle. My tough little ship make them all rebuy lol.
PvP piracy and whatnot I can accept as part of the game, but gankers I think are more of a product of oversight in the game, rather than acceptable in-universe elements. In-universe, people like this would probably never make it through the Pilot's Federation to become CMDRs in the first place, and if they did, the in-universe authorities (which wouldn't function in the slightest as they exist in the game, so in lore would have to be stricter) would put them away for life, or just execute them.
@@forgilageord I mean you say that. But after weeks of concentrated genocide against a single faction all I had to do is pay off my bounties and I was clear to go
Right now yes... But after the next update... Very much less so. Simply because the game will provide a "safe space" Which is unfortunatly going to encourage people to join who are not capable of surviving. We aim to replace the difficulty barrier that FDev have just essentially said they are removing. Also before you bite my head off, I've never hunted noobs unless I was one, but this update? Yeah. The average gamer does'nt cope in ED because of the zero handholding. By adding that in they open the floodgates. Whilst not against more players, in the least I might add. I can't say I'm wanting more players who will whinge that the game isnt as easy as it initially seems. Thats a worrying slope of more easy mode additions.
@@Paydirt90847 Why don't u play Counter Strike? Do u want every one to be a combat elite? Is this game dedicated for you? I have neither joystick, neither time to grind resources to engineer my ship, and so on. Thus I'm happy that FDevs gave my a way to avoid such Red Bullers.
I've seen a few videos lately with people flying shieldless ships and absolutely thrash some big ships. Great build with outstanding flying. So good to see.
Thank you so much for your content. I really enjoy these fights and it serves to encourage me to keep improving my dogfighting skills watching talented members of this community
I love that. “Hmm.. I don’t have the firepower to quickly get through this guy’s shields and do real damage. But IVE GOT THE MASS. RAMMING SPEED!” If a target is willing to fight without shields, it is more than willing, and even more capable, to slam its thick armor plated body against a target, preferably one with minimal armor and conveniently low shields.
reminds me of a video i saw just today where a Beluga with 2 Pack-Hound missile launchers took down an ANACONDA using ramming attacks! the Anaconda tried to run but the missiles actually disabled his jump drive!
this is still top work! well done your opponent was looking for an easy mark instead he found his nemesis! the fact you were less engineered or well armed and even unshielded adds more spice to it
Cobra 3 with hull upgrades is tough as nails. Once I was taking fire form 3 different imperial ships and didnt even notice until I started cycling through hostile contacts. Was probably getting shot at by them for 3 minutes and my hull was only down to 45%. Only left because I didnt want my canopy to break (was at like 25%)
Man, Multi Cannons do nothing vs shields, lol. I feel if you had energy weapons that fight would have been over a long time ago. Excellent flying none the less! o7 cmdr! :) Great video!
Pookii Power that’s typically true with NPCs, but with engineering most players balance resistances so there is usually no benefits to using energy weapons.
What the heck was that weapon discharge fine? At first I thought you where near a station, but didn't see any nearby. I really hope this isn't the garbage Frontier came up with to stop trolls from stream sniping them.
He wasnt targeted on the Ferdelance, so it was as if he had accidentally hit him with the multis with nothing else targeted. You're right, because the other player should have crimes on before that's reported
My combat ship is an FDL. I don't do PVP, but my PVE experience tells me that Cobra IIIs are a real pain to hit. So narrow and small! Good choice for making the ganker scum look and feel stupid.
excellent flying CMDR, i feel slightly less bad about that crushing defeat knowing who's hands it was at :) This was actually my first time against mines, you can see me hit one early on but I paid attention after that for sure. I'll also think twice before ramming a hull tank in the future. Yesterday I learned... o7
zbguresh pxre GG CMDR! I don’t know what it is about the Cobra, but it’s a devastating battering ram. None of the other small ships can pull it off, they do little damage and lose more HP, but the Cobra... ramming speed!! Lol
thank god you don't have the dishonor of losing to a noob... ...only the dishonor of being one who preys on noobs. Pick on someone your own size, pussy.
Another excellent engagement. Your shooting accuracy was impressive throughout. The FDL had very tough shields but seemed reluctant to go too offensive. Great game. 07 Commander.
He was accurate because his weapons are gimballed. Though running fixed MC's on a cobra is certain death for even the best pilots because the cobra cannot lateral.
Most seal clubbers are garbage. This guy doesn't even know how to fly. His defeat, priceless. I went out in a orca and took out some ass in a vette that was clubbing. It's almost as if they choose to come here because they can't hold they're own in a fight.
Gankers, especially those who gank people who can't really defend themselves really prove how small their brains are, seriously you'll need an advanced microscope.
It's mostly their massive ego and them wanting to be the best player around. there's no excuse for ganking new players and "telling them it's not a handholding game" bullshit.
There are a lot of pirates I can respect for either being good pirates who steal your shit or telling people to surrender for their own reward, and I love that there should be more pirate players. there's no reward in ganking.
@@Tiyratania Actually I think they probably have very fragile egos like most bullies - they have a perception of themselves as superior to others, but anything that challenges that assertion makes them feel feeble and fraudulent. Asserting their perceived dominance over others through bullying is how they prop up their internal inadequacies so they feel powerful for a few minutes. They are the type who's always bragging, working hard to make sure everyone else thinks they are smarter and better than those around them, but fall apart when their frailties are put on display. I totally agree about good quality pirate roleplaying - the ones who will let you go if you give them what they want, or give you a fight if you want it, and let you go without a rebuy if they defeat you - that's good fun for both parties. Sending someone who didn't want to fight to the rebuy screen just because you are a sad asshole - that's roleplaying a psychopath.
wherever is the fun in seal clubbing with a sweaty FDL? i mean sure its a civic duty but at least have some fun with it. how scared do you have to be of sidewinders to pull the metalance out lmao
Aww look at the little didums run away for is banks against a small ship xD Theres seldom more satisfying an action than making the metabois run with a starter ship. WP WP.
Ganking new players is the one instance in which I don't have a problem with combat logging. Go to a high population system and gank people who might actually be able to put up a fight.
I just started and I have yet to play outside of Pilots Federation space. Is there a place that new players congregat that I should avoid? One of the reasons I dropped space engineers was because I don't give a fuck about pvp and hate losing everything because I'm forced into combat (at least there's rebuy in this game and you don't have to manually rebuild it yourseld piece by piece, makes me feel better). I just like trucking and mining.
Ugh, why you no target his FSD? Me hates when they run. Also can't help but think you'd have much better results with thermal weapons instead of mines (in this particular case at least).
Did u just got strike by PA and Still alive? Last time i got hit by PA and it just destroy my krait bi weave shields in 1 shot and got hull damage. Im pretty sure he using python so it was Large PA. Well i finish him with Frag Cannon 🤣
My ship is a hull tank with full armor and engineered HRPs. He was stock hull. A hull tank cobra could even ram to death a stock hull federal Corvette.
This place is full of seal clubbers? The only time I actually noticed someone was in the same area as me I dropped a ship that was tagged as wanted then realised it was for 400cr
It used to be because this is the area where new player started from in the past. However, it’s not anymore because now the new players have a permit locked safe zone.
@@cmdrthreeofnine1006 Ah, now its still not bad, two or three good systems for bounty hunting, acceptable outfitting at cleve hub and an interstellar factor at 3447
@@simbiote89 yes, it’s not bad and is still popular. Before it was a center of nefarious activities, but now Deciat has taken its place. Adles Armada was a player group that used to try and safeguard the new players.
Amateur ganker. Only 1 SCB and he was clueless of how to use one, had no skill to launch shots. Curiously, he had PA, but only used them once, then he used multi corrosions, PA's would have done much more damage. Also, he was stupid enough to use low wakes, instead of high. And third, he was too stupid to not use HRP, that crap FDL was paperlike. I despise gankers and was killed by them, but not because of that I despise them, they are lowest kind of people that have emotional disturbance issues and refulate in games, murdering and hurting in virtual worlds, as in real life they are left aside and sociopatic so they feel "awesome" killing weaker players, prolly they jerk after and laugh as hyenas with their ganker hyena friends on how they "killed" a harmless target. They add no roleplay in games, they are just scumbags. A pirate is different, even a thug, an attacker that taunts you, demands cargo, attacks you to dominate the area, or even wings that demand pay if you cross "their" system, I understand that and endorse the roleplaying, but gankers, no, they just interdict you when you are in a DBX or another small ship and when they see skill, they flee like cowards, because that's what they are, cowards. It's like suckerpunching someone on the streets and selfproclaim a professtional fighter, that's what they are. o7 CMDR, keep doing these videos :)
