The Dark Drone is the best at fighting groups, especially during team fights. I heavily disagree with it being the worst. There's a reason why a lot of people like using this ability and consider the red artichoke the worst despite the Dark Drone having lower DPS.
@@t_piigIt’s enough. The splash is very generous so you can easily attack from cover so they can’t even shoot you down or you can just bombard a packed objective during a big push
@@t_piig You're still hitting groups WITH the primary and it discourages them to not bunch up together. Also, what if the corn strike is on cool down? Thought of that? The Garlic drone's primary is best against high HP SINGLE targets but is by no means better at crowd control. Just because the DPS isn't as good as Garlic drone doesn't mean it's bad. That's honestly a very limiting mindset. Also as said by another reply, Splash damage goes behind cover and the projectiles make it easier to actually land shots while they're moving. Unless you're targeting Super Brains or All Stars, the damage from Dark Drone's primary is enough to make work of most of the zombies. At this point it just comes down to the situation and preference. Garlic Drone is better at picking off individual zombies but Dark Drone is better at crowd control and group settings. Both airstrikes still suck when compared to parrots though.
Dark garlic drone isn't bad because the regular garlic drone might be harder to aim with for some people and the dark garlic drone is WAY more effective against moving targets don't let dps fool you because landing damage is always better than barely being able to hit your enemy to even deal damage in the first place
The thing with the dark drone to me is that it's considerably lower reward but insanely lower risk, you can attack from so much farther away and still deal half decent damage so you can consistently deal chip damage from afar while actually getting kills with the corn strike. I agree mormal drone is better but i dont think it's that bad
That's cause it isn't bad, its just his opinion, in my personal experience i can shoot red artichoke as easy as normal garlics, but with dark garlic you may be trying to shoot it, but if you fail, or if you were already low on hp, escaping from it will be hard as they can chase you without even aiming perfectly cause of splash
For me I guess dark garlic drone is more preffered by many players because it doesn't require you to be very accurate especially when you're constantly moving airborne. Dark garlic drone is basically a user friendly easy to play drone while the other garlic drones require more skill and accuracy. It's my own opinion tho and I've never played gw2 before but I've watched too many vids of it
I am from Australia and cant play aussie servers as there is no one so other servers there is always a delay with drones projectiles which is why dark garlic is the best
Also, i can't help but notice that the normal garlic drone has the WORST AIR STRIKE IN THE GAME, i mean, the corn comes down REALLY SLOW, AND they explode one at a time, if you compare this air strike to both of the artichokes, it is evident that both of the artichokes severely outclass the normal garlic drone due to having more accurate air strikes. Though, the parrot still has the best air strike.
its so annoying to use any drone other than the dark garlic drone on high ping. idk why but all the movements are insanely bugged and its hard to look around
Maybe use scripts next time? This seems so on the spot thinking and just kinda boring ngl oh and the dark garlic is really good in turf due to splash and the zombies are more grouped up, thats why people like it
