Did you know that Pyatigorsk and Mineralnye Vody is world famous among horse connoisseurs and horse breeding, especially the Tersk Stud (Терский конный завод ) where the "Russian Arabs" originated. and today there are very few horse breeds that are not bred with the genes of the horses from the Tersk Stud from Pyatigorsk. This horse stud has a very long history and has supplied horses for the Russian cavalry in two world wars and a civil war and still breeds horses of unparalleled reputation and quality and has influenced horse breeding worldwide. en zeker de moeite waard om eens te bezoeken

@@SamsRussianAdventures I looked at your channel and my first impression was that it is geared for men looking for Russian women, which is totally fine but as a result of showing them as all being supermodels that go crazy over foreign men no matter what he looks or acts like is just unrealistic. Did you know that western women are very interested in Russian men? You might broaden your base to include females if you talked to Russian men about their views on dating or what they are interested in. Maybe highlight some young good looking ones because here in the west they are often portrayed is bear like angry old man. Western women love Russian accents too. Just my opinion if you want to attract some extra females to your channel!

@@marlajacques6947 a lot of women who visit my channel make that assumption at first. It seems the couple of videos that stand out to them are the videos about Russian girls. Most of the people I chat to who watch Eli for example, say openly that they watch her content because she is a beautiful woman. The majority of my 200+ videos cover a range of topics. It’s interesting about Russian men, I didn’t realise that they were attractive to western women! What questions would you like me to ask? I’ll make a video on this topic. Thanks for your feedback.

Would they date one or any other nationality? Is the common view of them accurate? Are there similar matchmaking sites for Russian men? Are they romantic? You might be interested that we have a Mikhail Lermontov monument down here in New Zealand. It is a failure too. It was a Soviet Cruise ship. It was an elegant ship, a pretty ship. A documentary said it had a culture of its own and was loved by passengers and crew. In 1986 the ship had just ended a call at Picton in New Zealand's Marlborough sounds, when the Pilot mysteriously directed the ship through a confined gap with seriously strong tidal turbulance and daggers of sub surface rocks. We never found out why he did that, but the Lermontov was terminally gashed below the waterline. Immediately at least one crew was drowned. The ship was doomed. Listing and sinking, it drifted around into the nearest bay where it was evacuated and sank. It remains at the bottom of that bay in the Cook Strait area, as a diving attraction. I was in favour of the Pilot going to the USSR to explain himself - of course that did not happen. The Lermontov's poor Captain was punished according to the documentary - I think he ended up driving a cargo ship.

Grottoes were in fashion in the late 1800s. They were places of quiet contemplation. Basically a carved out shallow cave usually facing the sun. with a place to sit of lay down. In england there was a tradition of building Grottoes in the gardens of manor homes and castles and actually paying a hermit usually in food to live in them.

I didn’t visit Elbrus, but I was in Mountain Ingushenia and the Erzi Nature Reserve. It was a very long trip. The excursion bus left at 6 o'clock in the morning and returned only at 10 o'clock in the evening. I was very tired, but it was very interesting. Yeah, I enjoyed Bald's channel more a couple of years ago when he just traveled around and chatted with locals, then would be all, "Ooh! An old Soviet train station; let's go check it out!" Lately, it's become a trope to see how many times he will say "Soviet," so he says stupid things like "Look--a Soviet dog!" I still like his videos, but the old ones are better, IMO. Eli is pretty awesome. Her English is outstanding, her video quality is good, and she shows lots of interesting things. Natasha on the YeahRussia channel is my favorite though, because she has such biting, deadpan humor. She doesn't travel as much as Bald or Eli, and her videos are kind of quaint and low budget, but she's folksy and funny.
