Had one now for about 10 years. Best investment ever. Neighbours can't even tell when it's going it burns so cleanly. Flue has never even been cleaned and is still as clean as the day it was installed!

I'm surprised someone has not made a bigger version of this. It's so simple and brilliant.

The impressive part is the low amount of ash left especially from hardwood.

Hi Ric...Im in Europe...Spain ( I know spain, but we get cold winters too) Any chance you have an agent over here...or even the UK? I ask as Im guessing the shipping cost from NZ would make a direct purchase... non viable. Id really appreciate a reply...

Hi PS, apologies for the very tardy reply speed but only just noticed your message, yes we do have an agent in the UK who you can contact through www.pyroclassic.co.uk

Doesn't throttling back the oxygen lead to dirtier burns overnight?
@KevinAnderson1
@KevinAnderson1 Год назад
Can't throttle back. Fully automatic.

@@KevinAnderson1 Of course you can, he showed the turbo slide being opened and closed. It's just a primary air control.
@tomskimcdouglegaming806
@tomskimcdouglegaming806 Год назад
There are secondary air tubes that clean up the burn when the turbo slide is closed.
@batchrocketproject4720
@batchrocketproject4720 11 месяцев назад
@@tomskimcdouglegaming806 The turbo slide is to introduce _excess_ air to establish flames on refuel and is not required for full combustion. The primary air enters though a hole above the door (behind the cover) and cannot be shut off, it provides sufficient air for an efficient burn without fanning flames. Secondary air, to ignite smoke as it leaves the main chamber, is delivered from the rear, via pipes, again it is permanently open.

slow fire = poor combustion = very low efficiency = waste of wood = severe pollution ( particles and Nox )
@theloosemoose8200
@theloosemoose8200 6 лет назад
ririshow you don't know what you're talking about, sorry... a stove that can burn 1 log all through the night (8 hrs) is not "low efficiency ", it's the total opposite.. the more oxygen you give a fire the hotter AND FASTER it burns, THAT'S LOW EFFICIENCY AND A WASTE OF WOOD... you clearly don't have a wood stove or you would have learned this lesson ....
@TheRomanWolf
@TheRomanWolf 4 года назад
its actually on the ULEB list, so super efficient...

Slow fires are rich in fuel low on oxygen. This also means low in temperature, making little to no NOx. In order for NOx to be created the combustion temperatures need to exceed 1600 °C (2900 °F) and usually only occur in leaner than stoichiometric mixture fires (Low fuel to air ratio). While you are correct that the exhaust will probably have higher levels HC and CO than desired you get a longer lasting fire with less fuel without over complicating the system.
