Mr Tomo, I would just like to say my heartfelt thanks to you because I went through a phase when I was stuck and I felt as I was not improving at all.. I would just noodle endlessly with the pentatonic scale and not learn anything, not even songs. But ever since I first saw your videos through one of MusicIsWin's with you in it. I have been really getting into the "practice mentality" and challenging myself. I came back to topics I thought I knew, like triads. I finally broke out of my bubble. I think the reason this happened is because of you and partly because I got a new guitar (a cheap tele but brand new) that feels like home to me, especially coming from a Floyd Rose guitar since I started haha. What I am trying to say is: I owe a heck of a lot to you. Thank you for helping me get better with my talents. Even though I have not signed up for the Guitar Wisdom (because i have no 💸), Your RU-vid videos got me to where I am . I'm writing this right after a VERY solid practice session and it's time to go to sleep. If you read this even a little thanks so much! Love from 🇵🇭

I'm spending time on triads lately. I love what you showed there and it will help me absorb it without thinking - pick a simple 2 chord progression and play 3 triad positions for each chord. That's a great way to exercise triads in a musical way.

You play an A minor triad right up at the 12 th fret so fast --one can hardly follow !---please show that triad SHAPE in a diagram --same as the other triads ---diagramatic form is best --no good flying up the fretboard --we are not optical geniuses !---appreciate your lesson --you are very SKILLED -----but we are learners ---!

In my understanding, we can play triad at any of 3 strings but in real world we only play triad at 3 high strings is that my right ?

how to know which note of the major triad is the third? for example the first triad of the G which is on the 3rd and 4th fret, how do i know instantly which is the major third note without looking up the note names? (so i can flatten the third to get a minor triad)

That was heartwarming haha I struggle with comparing myself a lot even in cases when it's not about guitar... Just life in general. AHH!! I get it now. He’s saying DO-MI-SOL (which means C-E-G) but he means Root-3-5…not the actual note name (for other chords).

It is absolutely astonishing that music is simply A-B-C-D-E-F-G.... All of music comes from this.... (with the Sharp’s & flats of course).... I have played guitar off & on for 20 years but never took it as seriously as I should have. I never took the time to actually learn what I was doing, learn what music was exactly. However, I am finally pushing to learn theory & understand music better.... Just to be a more complete musician. What would I have to do to get you to teach me? Like 1 on 1....?
