Man - I agree SO MUCH with the FL studio workflow. FL's greatest benefit is you can do 1 thing 5 different ways - it's biggest downside though is you can do 1 thing 5 different ways. I have my own templates now and have a solid writing workflow that it's basically painting with sound but I can see why people new to the daw can be overwhelmed.
