I loved this video with the Q&A format - so helpful. I love how you decorate with just the right amount of things to make your home cozy, but not cluttered. I definitely have too much stuff and am working on reducing the visual clutter. Thanks for the inspiration! Also, I absolutely love the furniture your husband made!

Thank you for sharing. I am always so inspired after watching your videos. I have a hard time limiting decor. I get bored with what I have. I am trying to set limits to what is manageable. Do you write things down that you have to do? Like cleaning your purse weekly or your home straightening? I can’t seem to do anything consistently.

Honestly, no I don’t. I am constantly making lists of things that need to get done. But most things are habits I’ve added one at a time slowly! I think sometimes we are prone to trying to jump into a lot of “habits” all at once. But those that stick are the ones we add slowly. It’s much easier to stay consistent with a habit when we are only adding one thing to our plate at a time. And sometimes my purse gets cleaned out weekly. Others times, life gets busy and I miss a week or two! It doesn’t have to be perfect. Progress over perfection!

All About Reading is hands down my favorite curriculum for teaching K-2nd or 3rd graders how to read!

@@thesimplyorganizedhome3277 Whew! I feel better now! That’s what I’m using :) Sorry.. one more quick question 🙋‍♀️ what about grammar, etc for first grade. Any suggestions are really appreciated!

@@justjohanna7 The two most important stages of language arts in the elementary years are “learning to read” and then “reading to learn.” The years between Kindergarten and usually 2-3rd grades are all about “learning to read.” Because of that, I don’t introduce much grammar focused work until at least the 3rd grade. Establishing a solid foundation in reading is really the most important part in the early years in my opinion. Our family really loves The Good and the Beautiful language arts as well as fix it grammar for 4th grade and up. I hope that helps!
