I have been eating a Whole Foods plant based diet for 11 years. I was diagnosed with high grade aggressive bladder cancer last year. No guarantees! Hoping that this WOE will help me to live longer.
Well said Dr K. Many people still believe yesterday they didn't have cancer, but today, they do: when an oncologist, or haematologist, or GP gives them their diagnosis. What happened just recently to make them suddenly so vulnerable, they wonder?! Usually, it wasn't actually sudden, is the crucial thing. Dr McDougall's presentations among others explained to me that cancer's inception/start is often many years before a diagnosis. His 'Why did Steve Jobs Die?' talk on YT was excellent and still very relevant on this, if interested.
Excellent, well explained as usual ! Thank you Dr Klaper for helping make sense of our complicated world. As you said , at the end of the day " how much have you loved" ? There is no justification for not being Vegan !
You know, by monetizing the whole food, plant-based diet approach (e.g. how your website is presented), you make it difficult to share this information with others and delegitimize the truth of the science in the process. I am saying this as a vegan of four years. What convinced me to go vegan was not people with courses to sell or books to buy. It was people who had nothing to gain and put the information out there for free and with their only motive being to share the truth. That builds trust. That is what motivated me to make the change.

Heart disease is the number one killer of people today and cancer is number two. Being over weight is the number one factor leading to an early death. People who are over weight have higher risks for high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Even children today have signs of artery disease. Fast foods and sugary drinks have long term consequences. There is an obesity epidemic today where over 60% of the population is overweight or obese. What is common today and "NORMAL" is not healthy. The average person today is not healthy and is taking medications. Heart attacks were once only common in people over 65. Today people in their 40 are having heart attacks. Add more plants and vegetables to your diet and less junk and overly processed foods
