Luved every minute of your Q&A Preston and Elena. Both my 2 daughters slept with us until age 5 and they did same with their kids. Bad training so they say but we all loved every minute. As kids we had a pet goat also and her name was Astrid one day we came home from school and she was nowhere to be found and my mother told us that she was in the country... What we did notice that week there was more meat on our plate than usual... It was the sixties things was difficult. Thanks for sharing your stories ✨✨
My father came from Czech and he didn’t want to teach his children Czech. It sucked not learning at a younger age, because we couldn’t speak to my father’s family at all. Definitely had to learn it more as I got older, but I feel like I missed out on getting close to my father’s family.

Preston, I guess Russian's are a lot like Mexican's. We had a pet goat growing up in California (LA area) got him as a baby played with him every day. One day I got home from school and he was no where to be found. The next day there was a big pot of "birria" (tomato sauce cooked with goat meat) for my neighbors wedding. The following week my grampa was sporting a vest that looked just like out pet goat. I'm still horrified, our goat's name was billy 😦 True story!

I can relate to the goat story 🤣 I grew up on a homestead and my grandma got me a pet rabbit (Thumper) I had him for awhile and one day I came home and his cage was open... My grandpa said the dogs got him come to find out we ate him for dinner that night... But I didn't find out we ate him until years later... I was traumatized enough by thinking the dang dogs ate him let alone ME!
