I love these guys. Their shaving videos are some of the most authentic, non-assuming, bullshit-free videos I've ever seen on any topic. If that's how they do business, and I think they do, this store would go far. The like the black branding outside the store too. Very classy!

I say that again, this is a corner of Heaven. There's litterally a ton of stuff to try, you don't have enough time in your LIFE to try it all. It's just awesome, and I am Italian, I own each italian product they have: Saponificio Varesino (all the line), Valobra, Mondial (one of the best makers in the world), Cella, Proraso, Vitos. Please, please try this brand: Santissima Annunziata, old apothecary in Firenze, this is probably the only italian big name you miss (or at least you don't present in this video). It's one of the most luxurious products I own, and one of the finest soap (and after shave) I ever tried. Thank you guys!...

I got to stop out there on Black Friday weekend last year and met TQ when they first opened. Even got a pic with TQ that went up as one of their first on Twitter. Man are you right Nick, shaving heaven that has to be seen. Picked up some cool unique products. Definitely a place to stop when you are in Chicago. Great video Nick.

Great video Nick! - Thanks for taking time to share your trip to Merz Apothecary....sort of like Paul H filming inside G H Trumpers.....fantastic experience! Don't have any storefront like that in my area. I have bought several shave items from them (Smallflower) and can say they carry some "hard to get' items, especially colognes - and their service is very good. Thanks!

Nick, so cool that that you showed us the Q Brothers store! I've watched many of their reviews and have purchased great products from them. What a fantastic store. If I'm ever in Chicago, I will absolutely check it out. P.s., I bought some Tabula Rasa Cardamom shave cream/soap after hearing them rave about it, and it is fantastic stuff. Wonderful scent and really awesome lather.... The kind that had a tendency to just explode but at the same time stay dense and cushiony and slick. Love it. Thanks again!

Nick, fantastic video. These guys are great, they seem very down to earth and engaging. Thanks. I have ordered from Smallflower and the only negative I can say is, their shipping prices are ridiculous. I ordered a Muhle R41 from them that weighs nothing, cost me $7 to ship. Now in the same token, three heavy shave soaps from Maggard's that comes from Michigan, one state over from Illinois cost $6 and this required more packing materials.

Seeing a place like this I almost wish for insanely heavy beard growth, so I could use all this amazing stuff twice a day. Wet shavers heaven indeed! And I have to agree with JQ and TQ about the Tabula Rasa soap, if you can get your hands on it you should really check it out. It was my first real shaving soap I ever used and since then I never wanted to go back to the canned foam stuff, obviously. Cheers to you guys and shave on!

Hi Nick, great video. I have a question which is slightly off-topic but something I think you may have a solid opinion on: is there a difference between Personna Lab razor blades and Personna Med prep razor blades? Aside from the sterilisation process, is there actually a difference in the cut you get from the blade? Thanks

nick do you think that astra sp blades are better than gilletee-wilkinson sword blades ... yes on those razors it says gillette wilkinson sword , so maybe a joint vunture with these 2 shaving giants.

funny its so popular in the states and England wet shaving here in Denmark not so much...my grandfather went from wet shave to electric shave so did my dad their DE eighter got lost or thrown out even my moms daddy as he was moved into a retirement home they shaved him with an electric shaver razor also lost...and they are expensive here so even for me to just try it would cost a ridiculously amount of money
