It's a marketing ploy from Samsung to make people buy their products and it works. People fall for it.

I think yes, you can control soundbar and tv with the same samsung remotecontrol. There might be an option to adjust volume controls, whether it change both volumes or just tv or soundbar.

@@armstobearllc6637 usually you connect the console directly to the tv via HDMI to have max quality (4K 120hz with hdmi 2.1) and then the tv is connected to the soundbar through the hdmi eARC ports on both tv and soundbar. I’m doing the same with an old ARC compatible Samsung soundbar

Hi, When i pressed my head onto the speakers they where giving off sound. Maybe the model i have since it doesnt have much speakers anyways ( only 4 ) it decided to use all 4 ? Thank you for your comment :D

I have a Samsung s95b tv and q800b soundbar but when I use a symphony I don’t see any difference to the sound bar working on its own? Am I doing something wrong

@@pmpzen No, I decided to wait for the next model (990b) because I didnt like its design with the fabric (it looks really cheap)

Q70T just released June 21st's firmware. 2016 and it enables qsymphony.

great Q, i do belive its HDMI as optical only has 5.1

just noticed it only works with hw-q series soundbar not compatible for older soundbar. too bad they limit it to only much expensive soundbar options

Both, but if using an optical connection, you’ll only be able to achieve DD 5.1, not Atmos or DTS X.

Yeah, it's normal. Adaptive will use the TV's calibration feature to calibrate surround sound

I think you need a 2020 onwards Samsung TV that supports it? Which is from thr q80t upwards (the q70 can't do it). But I might be wrong

@@CR97Oficial funny enough, the next day it worked like a charm and I did nothing. So keep trying and contact samsung tech support if you can't solve it.

@@noXeFonice I update the firmware of the soundbar with a USB and I can active Q-Symphony now. But only has game mode and adaptive mode haha is strange

I got a q600a soundbar with a q70a TV. The q symphony works but isn't great. The soundbar alone with surround mode is perfect and way more better. With q symphony, you don't have the choice to switch to surround. It just puts it on adaptive sound.

It should be with everything ( just output atmos )

I belive you should be able to connect and use it via eArc. Have you tried a different HDMI cable and made sure the option for the HDMI to be ( Expanded or Enchanted ? ).

@@TechinaSec101 Yup. I tried 3 HDMI cables. I'm using a Rocket fish Ultra high-speed ethernet 4k/8k/10k 48mbs ARC cable. Last though is that the Q600A HDMI port is a ARC and the QN90A 2021' TV is eARC HDMI port. I've tried testing using a 4k movie with both DTS and 5.1 Dolby and RU-vid test videos. I read that the only way to get it to work is through the multi audio Bluetooth path. I might have to get a Samsung tech out here to figure it out!

That could be use for almost every electronics review out their, however you could hear the " Difference " if their isn't any difference at all, then buy the cheaper one :)

What exactly were you trying to do? What was done “side by side”, and why were you listening to your phone? The only way you’ll hear what Q Symphony does, is by listening to a compatible TV & soundbar combo.

@@BoronAlloy that's what I'm saying. That audio format isn't available on RU-vid at all. Especially not if you're using your phone. Same with Dolby Atmos "demo" videos or any other audio demo on YT. The cake is a lie. Only way for us to get a true side by side comparison is to have the hardware right in front of us. Recording it through some mic, then playing it back to me on my phone speakers and asking if I can hear the difference isn't a fair way to ask me to make a comparison. There's no way for me to tell.

@@medotaku9360 When it comes to audio devices, you really have no other option but to visit a store for a demo, or order online, with a solid no/low cost return policy. Only in decent environment/your own room, will you be able to appreciate how the product sounds. I heard it the other day, in a store - 85” 8K TV and the 990B. Standing 7 feet away from the TV, open space, all I realistically got was a wall of sound. Interesting... yes, impressive… marginally. The reality is, using the rear speakers on the TV, the distance between it and the wall behind it, will introduce a time delay, which may improve the sense of space - less likely, if wall hung - along with the side walls. Will it sound anything other than simply a wall of sound, no pun intended? That’s where a proper demo setup or listening in your own space will allow you to hear if that’s the case or not. To be fair, the demo material (big waves crashing) did convey a sense of scale, I suppose, and since the sound wasn’t quite so localised (just from the soundbar), then it sort of worked. Would the same be true of a 50” and a lower end model soundbar… I honestly don’t know, but I don’t think so. I suspect a huge sound from a smallish viewing area, may create a bit of a disconnect, so it may work best with 65” and above TVs.
