Stumbled across your page a few weeks ago Shaun and can’t stop watching your videos. Just wanted to leave a quick comment to say thank you for sharing your experiences with us, as well as those of Wildman, T Bone and the rest. It seems that for all the ‘bad’ people in prison there are also many ‘good’ folk too. Life isn’t black and white like so many people think it is, and the American justice system as you say is quite clearly just a cash cow - at the expense of those deemed to be on the bottom rung of society usually. Please keep it up, love hearing Wildman’s many stories as well as your own, it is a real eye opener as to how brutal life can be inside. I’ve never been to prison myself (and don’t plan on going) but it’s interesting and humbling to listen to what you’ve all been through from the first day inside up until the present day. Glad to see that you and Wildman are doing well, and hope that T Bone will find justice one day sooner rather than later from his most recent bogus conviction. Keep up the good work!

Wildman is a national treasure

American jails so different to our British jails. From what I've experienced I've not seen racial grouping and never eaten in a chow room, always in the cell. American jails seem alot worse in many circumstances.

It’s so true. You are always hungry while locked up, especially at the beginning before you get commissary.

Folks in our local county usually end up standing to eat, until they are invited to sit somewhere. Pretty much the only way you can guarantee you aren't stepping on toes.

I had a microwave cheese burger and 25 magic mushrooms for dinner haha

They just reminded me of another story. At my first prison I got a job in the garbage room in the hall. It was great. I would eat as much as I could before dumping the food out the back door. Since I did work with garbage I wasn't supposed to touch the food that the prisoners would be eating but once my boss asked me to open a whole shitload of canned apricots. I reminded him that I wasn't supposed to touch the food. He reminded me I was an inmate and he was my boss. So I poured all of the cans of apricots into a caulender and was supposed to throw all of the juices away. WHAT? I put it into a large garbage bag, snuck some sugar out of the chow hall and put that into the bag. I had a good hiding place in the garbage room. I just need some yeast. After asking some inmates if there was any way to swipe some yeast. One guy told me he could get some but it wouldn't be that day. I thought I could trust him so I showed him the bag and told him to put as much yeast as he could get into the bag. About an hour later I see the kitchen guard walking around with my future pruno over his shoulder. That punk-ass bitch snitched me out. He was moved to another prison after that.

It’s really fascinating that here in Australia, prisoners are far more humanely compared to American prisons, and yet ppl still complain that prisoners here are treated too well.

How did you find the balance between going in and not looking timid enough to become a target but also not looking so cocky that you'd get smashed anyway? I always figured that would be a fine balancing act. Also, is it possible for someone to be a lone wolf in prison and survive?

What happens when enter jail/prison amd youre already initiated/tatted up? And what if you were a shot caller previously, or come in as a very high profile member of your gang?

Shaun and Peter I hardly ever respond on any youtube video but I've now watched quite a few of yours. In the beginning, I am going to be 100% straight with you, I thought you were a bit of an idiot capitalizing on being an even bigger idiot and glorifying your situation. But after as I said several videos and listening very carefully to how you and Peter talk and respond to negative comments and really care about people, I must say for what it's worth I can see why you and Peter got along in the system as well as you did. You are both very honest, respectful and charismatic guys who I really enjoy listening to your experiences and how it affected both of you. The one word I would use to describe both of you is very genuine. So I am glad I took the time to watch you more. I wouldn't go to prison without a full body armor suit and knight's helmet. And I still would get my wig split, I imagine.

For a guy like me, tall thin, glasses, how would I avoid being a punk? Even though there's no way for me to fight back. Lone wolf (Rather) Loan sheep is an easy target. But I wouldn't want to owe anybody anything for protection. What's the best possible game plan? Thanks Shaun and Wildman! You guys are great fun.
