I once flew on a Jetstar Dreamliner from Melbourne to Cairns. Absolutely loved the windows! So cool how you can dim it to whatever level you like.

A very enjoyable trip review. You have whet my appetite to give the QF product a try from Brisbane to Auckland. No, I haven't tried the 787, but it certainly looks very sophisticated. Thanks for sharing.

Having flown on the 787 and a350 the a350 is miles quieter than the 787. Only downside of it are airlines seemingly like to not include personal cents on the 350.

For me the only reason to use Premium Economy is the extra seat width and leg room. Really didn't get a sense of how that stacked up, but I always find SeatGuru helpful. Don't much care about anything else. I don't eat before and when flying at all as (combined with inactivity) it aggravates a chronic illness. Terminal lounges have no appeal to me. I've held high ranking business roles and I grew to hate over-pandering; (feels so inauthentic). Don't care about inflight entertainment except on > 4 hr flights and then it's usually the content rather than the system that matters. The accoutrements never make much of an impression on me. What I do expect is safety (I have an aviation background, so I can sometimes see things others don't), competence (I've found most flight crews are excellent), courtesy from the cabin crew (don't always get that; some treat casually dressed older males as if they don't exist), and a comfort level that enables me to sleep easily (most Economy seating is designed to prevent that). Yeah, some of that is a bit negative, but airlines live off feedback, so there you go.
