The Qantas Soundtrack was created by Australian composer Haydn Walker. The tune is the boarding and inflight default music on all Qantas domestic and international flights.
It was a pleasantly uplifting music for my first visit to Australia and after a stressful time missing my flight. I ended up searching for this music and have been putting it as background music at home whenever I need extra motivation.
When will QF begin service to Mexico? Your flights SYDDFW and AKLJFK frequently are routed over PVR where l live. Nice catching them above, a better option would be to board here rather than LAX. Cheers! Dale Douglas, Puerto Vallarta
There's such an emotional bond to this soundtrack for me. Especially the segment that starts at 9:06. For me, this is the sound of home because I first heard it sitting on the Qantas A380 waiting for it to take me to my new home of Sydney in 2019.
yes I was on a A330 twice a few months ago and it seems like this was the only section they used for boarding, in between cabin crew announcements and the constant voice every 30 seconds that said "Qantas, the Spirit of Australia"
I was flying back from Singapore to Sydney right before COVID restrictions hit in 2020, and I can't tell you the feeling of relief I had after hearing this on boarding the A380.
Today, this music came up to my mind when I was walking in my city in France. It reminded me my journey/adventure in Australia when I was few months ago as a student from France to learn the English language. After flying 26hours from France to Brisbane I heard this music for about 20mins after landing. Incredible journey for myself, to discover myself, to face to my own fears, alone at the other side of the world at the age of 19, discovering Australia, the desert (Uluru), the coasts, islands and Australian’s nature. Such an incredible adventure! Such an incredible music for travelers flying through Quantas!
Reminds me of sitting on the tarmac waiting for push back on a cold, windy, rainy night in Melbourne on my way back home to Sydney after a long business trip and looking forward to relaxing and seeing my wife and girls again. Didn’t realize how much I would miss that experience!

Oh, how I miss flying. It was always so comforting and welcoming after being overseas to board a Qantas flight, turn left, put my bag up, sort out the menu, get into the pajamas, and settle into a nice business class seat for a 14hr flight home with this music playing in the background.
I’ve spent many hours listening to this beautiful music as I awaited my various departures on Qantas flights around Australia. Brought a little tear to my eye in lockdown. I hope to be flying on the Red Kangaroo again soon ❤️
I’m 🇮🇳 and the first airplane I ever flew as a kid was A330 and it was Qantas from Mumbai to Singapore in 2000. I now call 🇦🇺 home. Thank You for embracing me and changing my life. The beauty of this country including it’s people is unparalleled.

I moved out of Australia almost 2 years ago now. Even to this day when I see anything relating to Qantas or Australia I get emotional. Memories that will last a lifetime. The most beautiful place on earth… See you soon Australia.

I fly QANTAS religiously but never heard these soundtracks back in economy….obviously we must get played the cattle stampede soundtrack or maybe I can’t hear it over the “excuse me that’s my seat near the window do you mind moving” as you can barely squeeze your knees past.
Yep, same here... This music take me back to my flights on the A380 from Dallas to Sydney. Such a nice plane. I've flown in Economy and Economy Plus (or what ever they call it).
This is a stunning soundtrack. As someone that travels internationally a ridiculous amount, the emotion this elicits, can actually cause one to well up. Same with SQ new video. Sitting in your seat before a longhaul flight (hopefully in a good class) always brings a sense of adventure. Well done QF with this!
It's a stunner. I've discovered though if you listen to it for 1+ hours on hold waiting to fix an anxiety-inducing covid-related problem, it ilicits a stress response the next time you hear it boarding a plane.
It makes me so sad that we can not travel, and personally I love the airport and the hustle and bustle of everyone going about there day. I can’t wait to start to travel again and actually sit on a plane. It’s been a while.

Probably the sweetest music ever!! Get to jump Qantas every June (except 2020 & 2021) to visit my daughter in Brisbane. Absolutely stunning place. From Johannesburg to Sydney is a long stretch!! Every time I hear this music I get hyped up coz I miss my daughter so much!! Thank you Qantas for making things possible. Y'all are the best airline in the world!!

I completely understand you James, honestly same here. Although I get the better experience flying to Joburg whereas you get the better experience flying to Sydney. When I hear this song, no matter where in the world I am, I feel at home, I know I am already in good hands. I could see the red sands, the golden wattles, the flying foxes, the skyscrapers next to a river, warm breeze of Queensland.
I've flew to Australia in 2022 march (London to Melbourne) and that was my first time in Australia... this soundtrack reminds me of this beautiful country and people I met there .. since back in London i listen to this most of the my mornings now on loop love this and australia

This music is the theme of every great adventure I've had in recent years. It evokes wonder and is also the musical accompaniment of coming home. It can get my heart racing and bring tears to my eyes.

I must say for the last month or so Iv been listening to this on replay I love qantas and Qantas's boarding music! . listening it gives you the feeling your travelling at school studying or even cleaning at home I'm listening and its on replay the vibe and feeling from this music can't be beaten!! .

I love this music so much I listen to it all the way to Sydney whenever I fly there. It beats all the movies etc!!! Nothing like getting on a Qantas flight when I've been overseas and hearing that music , I know I'm home.
I'm a well travelled boy who loves to hear this music and for some reason it's not anything about the music it's not anything about family that have died overseas or anything it's just such an important song to me. maybe it's because I have to listen to it to go see my dad or to come back but flying alone hearing the song inspires me with confidence
