@@Fcutdlady I stopped caring about even checking videos out online when she took over. Not as one of those "She's a self-righteous SJW!" idiots (because, let's be fair, she's edgier than Fry, so people like that are just being misogynistic), but just because as you say, Fry was THAT good. But now I've seen some clips in the past week that have changed my mind; she's amazing and a rightful successor! It'd be fun to see Stephen being a guest himself some time down the line, sat next to Alan, obviously - I'm sure he'd appreciate not having to keep the guests in line, knowing Sandi has it well handled!
@Andrew Sparkes i agree with you on her being great etc, and that stephen should be coming on. However I find her a bit monotonous and some times uninteresting in the way she talks. So to me it's just a taste thing
I used to like listening to the news quiz (via podcast) when she hosted it (think it was/is on BBC radio 4?). If you've heard her on there she was the obvious choice to take over QI
the levels that its like both self raising as his high opinion of himself, and that he was lying down and literally couldnt rise on top of the flour pun is mind blowing
Sandi's "twice a week" joke could be in every compilation this channel produces for all eternity and I would still laugh until my stomach hurts every time.
I feel like that's a conversation where she'd say she's having someone in to clean the curtains, and you look around her house and realize she's only got venetian blinds.
Stephen or male guests would never get away with a comment about how awful vaginas can look or how unpleasant women can be to get a laugh. But he did on occasion joke about his private life. And Sandi is not quite as affable as Stephen, sometimes coming across as irritable and a touch spiky.
Coffee Annan is such an underrated joke, it took little to no time for Jeremy to cook up some masterful wordplay even when he isn’t (technically) a comedian
@@Status-Par you have to realise that wasn't the end of sandi's sentence.. It may have been I once had a waitress who said to me.. Etc. It was their chance in the pause to jump in to make the joke she was talking about having a waitress (had sex with)
Sandi just kill this show every time. I think I'm secretly in love with her and Stephen. I was worried when he said he was leaving but they couldn't have replaced him with a more perfect host 😝😝
That would be a long video. She's got more of those in one season, rather annoyingly, that Stephen had in his entire run on Q.I. The "twice a week" was a good one though.
4:56 is the best one just pure gold. It's the most upper class rendition of a crass 'lads' joke which you find funny but aren't allowed to laugh at unless you're in the group.
Also this exchange when Rob was attempting to prove all words are onomatopoeic: Alan: “This is how you teach a chimp to speak.” Rob: “Well then, pay attention.”
Can’t believe “What were chainsaws first invented for?” Clarkson: “Proctology”” didn’t make it. Especially when he was told he was close and followed up with “Circumcision?”
I remember watching this when it was coming out, and was sad to see Stephen leave, and worried about Sandi. I have to say, she is amazing and I'd love to see more shows with her.
Absolutely didn't get it until you posted this and spelled-out 'Balti to which I Googled the term'. Dunno if it's an American thing (me), but I've never heard the term before.
@@livb6945 Whilst I do agree with you on a political standpoint, the irony of Jack Dee being unable to deliver his joke about how he believes that women are constantly talking... due to the women across the room from him constantly talking, has to have at least some ironic merit to it?
My favourite zinger isn't in here.... From the episode "Fire and Freezing", where Rob Brydon was trying to name drop. Rob: My father grew up in the same street as Richard Burton. Stephen: Really? In England we live in houses.
I absolutely love these QI compilation video and if the poster is listening have a suggestion for a new series of videos. A compilation of all the 'joker' questions and answers. For example the 'elephant' during the E series, the ' lavatorial' or 'spend a penny' during the L series and the 'pig' during the P series.
She almost certainly does that same type of joke in a sort of ironic way. I wouldn't say it comes across successfully all of the time, but I believe she's trying to pull off a bit of a subversive anti-joke thing.
In 9 out of 10 QI videos on RU-vid, she'd do a completely different joke, yet under those 10% you'll always find the "hurrdurr, she always does the same joke" comments. It's confirmation bias.

Ah yes the act of winding someone up, poking fun and/or making them respond to a provocative statement in order to create humour. My work here is done. Merry Christmas.
"*And one exercise in delayed gratification from Rich Hall." Ordinarily, I would think this is a complimentary innuendo, but seeing that it is here, I am not quite sure
