They kill off parents in fairy tales and Disney films in order for the protagonist to go on an adventure unfettered by guidance because most of the leads are literally teenagers/children.

Um, actually 😂 Life expectancy back in the times Fairy Tales were written was quite low, and parents, especially mothers, tended to die young, if not tragically, which is reflected in the telling of Fairy Tales.

@@sodone4593 That probably isn't true - life expectancy was skewed low because child mortality was so high. For people who survived into adulthood during that period, the median lifespan was over 70.

Also, leaving the subjective appreciation of humour to one side, she's stupid and QI is a far better, more interesting, and funnier show with intelligent panel members rather than buffoons who can't even join in, mainly because she's still processing the first joke ten quips later.

@jalilhaqiqi1889 She's in on the joke--you can see her laughing at some of Rhod's comments even as she's acting annoyed. You can hear that the audience loves the act. She (and Alan) are giving the same business back to Rhod about being Welsh and you see him enjoying it too. You'll see the same thing with Welsh and Scottish comedians on panel shows all the time.
