QI Series N Episode 9 FULL EPISODE | With Susan Calman, Matt Lucas & Josh Widdicombe 

i saw the longer version of this episode and it had in it one of my favrorite QI facts. After sandy talks about the hairy reindeer nose she goes on to say that one reason the noses are so hairy is to keep it warm (i think) so that as cold air enters the nose it gets heated up by the time it gets to the lungs. She also said the deer have special blood vessels in the nose to speed up the heating up of the air. So, air that's -41 degrees (fahrenheit or celsius, they're the same number at the temp) warms up like 100 degrees by the time it hits their lungs (not sure the actual numbers). As a minnesotan (upper middle of america, can be pretty cold) I understand how helpful a big warm nose can be.

I thought the two people who came out would stand in the gap so they could all hold hands !! Ha ha Instead they stood there and watched Sandi try to reach the others hand!! So funny!!
