A cool little pocket transceiver from MFJ. If you enjoy CW and you want to do it QRP style, then check out this little gem. SUBSCRIBE to HamRadioConcepts LIKE and Share on hamradioconcepts
The MFJ 9200 is available as the MFJ-9296. The main difference is that the MFJ-9296 comes with all the modules. As for the insulated screwdriver, I always called it a plastic screwdriver...thanks for the video
If it's available as the 9296 that's the inventory they have at that dealer. From my understanding they do not manufacture this unit any more.. Discontinued.
Great video. Good to hear you are going to get back into CW. Could you please develop a video that covers the operation of the MFJ Pocket Morse Code Tutor you mentioned in an earlier video. I purchased one, but for the life of me I can't figure out how it works - even with the manual. I admit it is my Neolithic brain ... need your help.... 73 MB VA6XMB
Oh hello ya !! I know what a DIDDLE STICK is :) I must have had an awesome Diddle Stick because guys used to STEAL my Diddle Stick ,,,, all the time !!! But that was back in the day when you could make a short drive to HEATH KIT or RADIO SHACK and buy Diddle Sticks for next to nothing !!!!! .... but my Diddle Sticks had handles at one end, so they were the Deluxe Model :)
Greetings, I am up the road from you in Micco Fl at Breezeway Trailer and RV Park and would like to meet You one of these days. I really enjoy your videos. Ken Pooler - K1ZYM
In the cover, directly above the band module, put some tape to prevent it grounding to the cover if it should become slightly ajar. You will notice the manual is pretty poor, but contact Don, KL7KN, he made a better manual and has the schematic that was made up from one of my 9200's by Steve Benson. He's on on QRZ.com for his eMail es Address , he'll eMail the things to you. Lee, WA8QFE
