hi col. jeff ;-) thx for your great video on my neckmuk! i really appriciate your thoughts on it. our friendship means a lot to my ;-) greetings from cologne, germany arthur
I absolutely love this knife. When you showed it in your video a while back. I went and bought one immediately the minute you showed it. It is probably my favorite neck knife now. Now I wish there was a slightly smaller 2 finger version of it too. I wear this at work, but a smaller version would be more accepted should management ever question me about it. I usually carry the little Kizer crocotool, but prefer the neckmuk.
During WWII a British scientist came up with the same design as a German for a jet engine. He thought his patent was stolen but after the war they met and both realized that the came to the same conclusion following different paths. Nice little knife that had my interest when they came out.
Dang I thought you haven't posted in awhile but I guess I just haven't been seeing any of your vids in my feed. Very strange. Time to binge watch a weeks worth of videos! Lol.
RU-vid doesn't push his videos to everyone because he showcases knives. You're more likely to get them if you view a lot of other knife channels on a consistent basis, or are subscribed to large number of knife channels.
@@CheezMonsterCrazy Yea I know and I am subscribed to a few other knife review channels and watch a knife video at least once a day usually. That's why I was surprised that I hadn't been recommended one of his videos in quite some time.
I really liked the look of this knife and nearly bought a year ago. That first bolt through the handle looks like a breaking point (the hole). Otherwise, nice knife, great price, good steel, nice and light.
I totally believe that the guy is being truthful about the coincidence of this knife looking like those others, but even if he wasn't, its an awesome knife, and the design is different enough anyway. That said, we need more stuff like this. How many friggin people own and love the minimalist?!? its on every list. its pretty much everyones favorite, but we have too few great neck knife designs out there. MORE NECK KNIVES!!!!
I absolutely love this knife. I will say I collect Bob Loveless designs. This knife most surely reminds me of his work. I want to be quite clear as well I am not saying he stole or borrowed a Loveless patern. What I can say is this blade design lends itself well to skinning, food prep and quite honestly is a great addition to carry with your everyday bushcraft. I had no use for it as a neck knife and purchases this to actually carry with my Scar Blades Papa Bear. It is just a very usefull knife for the everyday outdoorsman.
Just a little heads up, drop.com has these for 30 dollars shipped (plus tax where applicable.) Just ordered a green one myself, this is actually going to be my first fixed blade, so I'm pretty excited about EDCing one for the first time. EDIT: 7 days only.
Hey Jeff, check out Koji Hara Knives. He did a collaboration with CRKT several years ago called the Ichi. It had terraced bolsters which resemble a topographic map.
no, the jessmuk is Chris's version of a nessmuk knife which has been around longer than any of us are alive lol...but he likes it since it has lots of belly so thats why he prefers it for his designs, he does lots of outdoor stuff and bush=craft and its great for that type of cutting...
Back in production for now it seems, just got one from knifecenter. It's really good! great factory edge, ultra sharp out of the box. I was curious what the blade shape was called and this video did not disappoint!
@@mealex303 Comments are open for anyone to read. If you want to keep it private, send a private message. He mentioned in the video how the Neckmuk looks like the Le Duck and other knives. He even talked a whole lot about how it's practically impossible to make a knife that doesn't look like another knife.
