You could get a gantry to use the lift. They can roll around and be disassembled for storage or transportation

I would kill for one, but I haven't the room. I don't even have the space for an engine hoist.

Not a bad setup. That'll work out in my garage😂 you should have did a stress test to see what he could lift. Maybe you can do part two of it

A stress test would have been an excellent idea. I didn't really have any place to use this tool in my garage. I really wish I did though. I gave it to a friend who had a gantry he uses to work on cars. I'll ask him how it performs, but of course it would be interesting to push the unit to failure.

An AVE style review: take it apart, then try to put it back together, & try it ;-) The E-stop serves as a lock-out to prevent accidental operation and is absolutely necessary on something like this.

I suspect you are right, if you are talking about powdered metal and sintered. That seems to be a very common approach these days.
